I saw it last Friday and enjoyed it. Unfortunately, some of my friends were actually claiming it was the best movie ever made so my expectations were obviously high going in. It didn't exactly meet those lofty expectations but I thought it was great none the less.

I just saw the movie and I have to say... I'm pretty impressed. The beginning was a bit slow, but it def picked up. The concept was pretty genius and the graphics were fun. The actors were all pretty amazing as well. My only problem with the film was the end. I won't spoil it for anyone... But I didn't like it. Be prepared for that. Otherwise, if you can stand to sit through a 3 hour movie.. I say check it out. This is one of those films that everyone is either going to love or hate. There will be no middle ground.

If you liked how this film was kindn of a mind****, watch this movie. The most confusinc puzzle movie I've ever seen in my life. Primer (2004)

i think you're right, TQO. I think that almost ruined the movie. I suppose ruin is the right word, but it did spoil it a bit.

Primer? WHats the premise?

The concept is that people hide secrets in their minds. The main characters invade dreams and steal these secrets. However.. DiCaprios character finds a way to plant a memory. He makes it seem like genuine inspiration so that the subject believes he came up with it himself. That's what it's about... They try to do this... I won't spoil it for you... So, I won't tell you if it works. :) There is also a sub-plot that involves diCaprios family and the death of his wife. It's really much more complex than this, but it would ruin the movie if I explain further. Ha. After all that I just realized you were asking about Primer... not Inception.

Its ok. I just may watch Inception. The plot device is interesting.

Primer is about these guys that actually invent a time machine and they use it to like do the lottery and stuff but when they constently go back in time it gets really confusing. You'll see if you watch it, I'm still trying to comprehend it

Because of that, people are coming up with the most radical theories as to what the movie really means. Some of the theories I've heard make sense, and some of them come from people that just have too much time on their hands lol.

I'm behind in the Vevmo-verse, but I thought this movie was fantastic. It was original, it looked great, and Nolan was an animal with his camera work. I loved the ending too - it makes you think! I totally need to see it again. Can't wait to own this on Blu-Ray.

This movie was totally worth my money. It makes you dream about a world of your own!

2nd most overrated movie right behind Avatar. It was good, but I've seen better.

You're crazy, man. They're only 2 of the most original movies we've seen in the last few years (or....ever!?) in a world that's filled with Hollywood Remakes, sequels, and other nonsense. To each his own, I guess.

Inception was alright, but it wasn't all that, as everyone was hyping it up to be IMO. And I really wouldn't call Avatar "original." Actually, anyone who calls either one of those movies possibly the most original movies ever is insane, sorry. But as you said and I agree... to each his own. And I agree with you on the ****** remakes, sequals, prequals, ect. ect..

Of course you can claim Avatar has references and similarities to Fern Gully, and Inception has bits and pieces of inspiration from other films...but come on! In your opinion, what are some of the most original movies out lately? Any director that can write something original and direct it gets a gold star in my book.

I finally got around to watching Inception. Loved it. I was one of those movies after I watched it the first thing I wanted to do was go online and read more context from forums and the like to fully understand what I just saw. As for the ending...

I did a lot of reading on the subject and I think that it is now universally accepted that he has emerged from the dream state and is in reality. His kids are wearing new cloths. He doesn't have the wedding ring on (which only appears when he is dreaming.) And Michael Caine did state that there is a scene after the final scene which I am sure will come out in a future cut. The top does fall.)

It is among my all time favorites, simply amazing.

I agree with the ending, I think it's reality. The top looks like it was about to stop spinning. After I saw the ending I went online and Michael Caine said you can tell it's reality, because he's never in the dream. He said he's the guy who "invented" the dream.
