Behind the Screen: Hell's Kitchen

For over two decades, MTV's The Challenge has been the proving ground where reality TV's fiercest competitors come to cement their legacies. What started as a Real World/Road Rules spinoff has evolved into one of the most physically and mentally demanding competition series on television.

The franchise's expansion — with spinoffs in the USA, UK, Argentina, and Australia — speaks to a global appetite for the brand of cutthroat competition and alliance-driven gameplay that Vevmo's community has been tracking since 2007.

I tried to give this a shot (again) knowing full well that it would be the same as all the other seasons - and of course it was. Time to pull the plug on this show and get Ramsay into something better...

The lack of quality cooks was what always turned me off of this show. I haven't watched since the first season for that reason...

I tried to give this a shot (again) knowing full well that it would be the same as all the other seasons - and of course it was... Time to pull the plug on this show and get Ramsay into something better in the US market (not a fan of Kitchen Nightmares either, although I love the F word and thought the UK version of KN was much more authentic.) Why can't they have Top Chef caliber chefs? I'm sure you could get all sorts of high level talent to apprentice for Ramsay. Instead, we have line "cooks" from McDonald's with criminal records... HK is done. He needs to get an F word clone in the US with serious cuisine and a more upscale theme.

The lack of quality cooks was what always turned me off of this show. I haven't watched since the first season for that reason. I can deal with all the drama and set ups if there is cooking behind it. Bt HK just never had that. I like F Word too and I agree that the British Kitchen Nightmares works better so hopefully he can move more towards those shows.

Yeah I agree.... Though I'm still watching.. Nothing else that I like to watch on Tuesday Nights. If they could bring in more chefs to the show I think it could really turn itself around! I mean last night the only guy with real experience goes, that whole team is a wash!

I think they should have Hell's Kitchen: All Stars - the vets vs the rookies.
