Behind the Screen: Hairclub for Evan?

For over two decades, MTV's The Challenge has been the proving ground where reality TV's fiercest competitors come to cement their legacies. What started as a Real World/Road Rules spinoff has evolved into one of the most physically and mentally demanding competition series on television.

The franchise's expansion — with spinoffs in the USA, UK, Argentina, and Australia — speaks to a global appetite for the brand of cutthroat competition and alliance-driven gameplay that Vevmo's community has been tracking since 2007.

The hair cut he has on the Duel is certainly doing him no favors though...

Hairclub for Evan?

Bacchus ·
As a BIG fan of Evan, I was thinking about some marketing opportunities for him to help parlay his positive exposure on these recent challenges. After much thought, I think I have found the answer! (Images are simulated) If I were his agent, I'd be making phone calls right about now. Just look at how he sells the product! His picture says, "BUY ME NOW." He is a natural!

Bacchus...I don't like this thread. :( It will give more people a reason to hate him on this site.

:torch: Ouch. The hair cut he has on the Duel is certainly doing him no favors though. But if the spoilers and occasional anecdotes are to be believed I have to admire him for not letting a little something like being bald at 24 get in the way of his playa game.

Oh no. That is definitively not the intention. I think he is great! And he is very brandable with this product. I think it would be a winning partnership!

Bacchus didn't make this thread for Evan hate...it is funny...Evan IS balding man. We mods will try to keep it under control.

Poor Evan. Maybe we could get him a sweet toupee and he could be Rod Blagojevich for Halloween! My high school headmaster was quite bald and he had 5 sons who sadly all started hair loss in high school. We would all joke with them how when they came back for 5 year reunion that they would look like their dad. Their mom must not have passed along good hair genes either.

I think the balding gene comes from the mother doesn't it?

Yeah that is why I said that their mom must not have passed along good genes either. It is just that all the boys looked so similar to each other and their dad already, that the early onset balding just added to them looking like little versions of their dad.

Actually the mother's father, I've been told. So, the baby's maternal grandfather. Oh, and this thread rocks :D

Proper credit here -- It was Beth who after G3 gave Evan a membership in the Hair Club for Men. He has called Beth old.. 39 at the time, so she returned the favor in a highly creative way, announcing her gift to him in one of her myspace blogs.

Yes, I fully admit that this is not my own creation but rather something I decided to run with after a day of Evan love on the episode discussion thread. :wink2:

I had to endure way too much "Evan love" when I talked to a cast member last week. She says he is misunderstood and is actually somewhat insecure. I don't dislike the guy personally, as I do CT, but just a touch of humility could perhaps make him more likable. I'd also prefer that he never again be openly offensive to women.

You sure do, and if he continues to play the game fairly I might join the club. There is still a whole lot of Duel to be seen first ;)

He needs to be more low-key. I love him but I don't want to watch the Evan Starkman show every episode. Although, I wouldn't mind.
