Is Glee a one-hit wonder? WARNING: Some spoilers in this article.
Well I am in until at least the Kristin Chenoweth episode, which I think is ep 4, after that I will make my decision to stay or go. For now I'll try and enjoy the ride. :D

Ahh I totally forgot she was in an episode!! I'm excited for that one :)

I thought the show was OK. Definitely interesting. I think I may watch another episode next week (providing that I remember to). It's one of the only new shows that caught my eye. Besides the upcoming RW/RR Challenge, I don't have any new seasons of current shows I am looking forward to. I've abandoned the one show I did watch.

Glee is good, but I fear the novelty of it all will wear off after a season or two. And also, I just don't see how they can keep it fresh year after year without totally jumping the shark. Or becoming the next Popular. idk.

Gave it enough of a chance...consider me gone. We've already seen this show in many different incarnations. It's really just Fox being greedy and wanting the music sales. The characters are ****, and most of the writing is too.

At least stick around for this week b/c Kristin Chenoweth is doing a guest spot!! She automatically makes it 10x better :D

This episode with Kristin was my initial "if I don't like it, this is when I can give it up" deal. I also love me some Jane Lynch, so I am in it until the musical numbers stink or Jane Lynch is gone :) Plus, I just accept, like the show accepts, that they are living in the old school musical world and that it is not going to be realistic but fun, campy, and completely over produced for a HS glee club.

It's true...you have to take it for what it is.

Kristin Chenoweth was soooo good tonight! Sadly there was not enough Jane Lynch, but the episode overall I thought was quite good. Now I really want to go to a bowling alley/karaoke bar :D

I watched it for the first time last night. I thought it was good.

everyone keeps talking about this show...I guess I should check it out this week

I loved last night's episode! Will's wife is off her rocker! I cannot wait until Finn finds out that sperm cannot float around in a hot tub and impregnate anyone.

I liked last nights ep a lot too LM! I loved LOVED having Kristin Chenoweth the week before but was sad that they decided to put Sue, Jane Lynch, on the back burner because of it. Can't we have the best of both worlds? ;) She definitely had the best lines this week, and that part when she was writing in her journal was too much! haha

She is honestly a comedic genius, haha! My husband was really not into this show, but after watching her and hearing what her lines are from episode to episode, he is a fan. She wont be on the back burner next week, since she will co-chair the Glee club. This is going to be a great episode. I cannot wait to see what she has to say, LOL :)

I'm actually pretty excited about this! I do love that Buffy episode and I LOVE Dr. Horrible :D Do we think NPH might make an appearance? 'Glee' exclusive: Joss Whedon to direct! | Ausiello | EW.com
I just deleted Glee from my DVR. Looks like I'll have to pop in for the Whedon ep though!

I am hoping he will bring some nice guest stars along with him. Maybe some NPH? Nathan Fillion? Alyson Hannigan? Sarah Michelle Gellar? I would be totally cool with a mixed bag reunion of Dr Horrible and Buffy going against the Glee kids :D

I don't get why they would bring these people from Buffy the Vampire slayer as special guests. These people as in my estimation have never been known to be singers. I think as a special guest John Mayer would be pretty cool or even David Hyde Pearce but if they needed to get ratings I could see them going with Clay Aiken. (Which would be awful). Kristen showed that they are going after talent and with this group I can't wait for Artie's episode which will be great as Kevin Mchale is a great singer.

If you clicked on the link I originally posted it might have helped answer your question. We were talking about Joss Whedon guest directing Glee and I was hoping they would bring these people back because Joss Whedon also created Buffy which did a musical episode and Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog which NPH and Nathan Fillion were a part of.
unamazing#60
These 2 shows I don't think should ever be combined. As I really like this show right now and hope that they don't mess it up. I think by adding all those people it would be just a desperate ploy for ratings nothing more/nothing less. i like though that they bring in one special guest i.e. Josh Groban, kristen, and hope to see that in the future.
tatertots#61
Yeah, I wasn't saying they should all be in it, though it would be fun for me to have them in this special episode since I love all of those shows/specials. I was just saying since it is Joss Whedon directing a special episode (obviously already a ratings ploy, just like Kristen Chenoweth and Josh Groban were though that doesn't make it automatically bad) it would be cool for him to bring in a person or two from his past/present that helped give him the cred to get this gig. You know that Joss isn't coming on as the full time director right? He is just doing one episode liked they asked him too because he is talented and had done musical episodes and series before and he accepted because he is a big fan. I never said Glee should be Buffy or Dr. Horrible, just that it would be nice to have guest star(s) related to Joss come in for his episode.
