Behind the Screen: Friday the 13th (2009)

For over two decades, MTV's The Challenge has been the proving ground where reality TV's fiercest competitors come to cement their legacies. What started as a Real World/Road Rules spinoff has evolved into one of the most physically and mentally demanding competition series on television.

The franchise's expansion — with spinoffs in the USA, UK, Argentina, and Australia — speaks to a global appetite for the brand of cutthroat competition and alliance-driven gameplay that Vevmo's community has been tracking since 2007.

Awww, i'm jealous. The theatres here in town have this lame policy about under 17's seeing an R rated movie - EVEN WITH ADULTS...

I'm going to a midnight showing tomorrow night. I can't wait to see ittttt! It could suck. If so - oh well. But still..I can't pass up a chance to see Jason on the big screen.

I figured this would be a good movie since it's made by the producers of "Texas Chainsaw Massacre". I might go see it tonight actually. I don't have a (Valentines) date, so hopefully I won't look too much like a loser going alone...lol.

A re-make of the classic 1980 horror film Friday the 13th has topped the North American box office in its opening weekend. The revival of the slasher franchise took $42.2m (£29.7m) over three days according to early figures. It sets a new record for the horror genre, topping the $39.1m (£27.5m) debut for 2004's The Grudge.

I saw this over the weekend and while I didn't dislike it I was a little underwhelmed. Seeing the Transformers 2 trailer on the big screen was awesome though.

Even though originally I had expressed doubts about it, I was actually excited to see this and wanted to go on the 13th. Never happened but every seems to have liked it that I've talked to so I hope to see it soon. RSV...killer blog you have.

Haven't seen Friday the 13th, wanted to see it last Friday but couldn't and now the mystique is gone though I heard one of the brothers from Supernatural is in it and that's one of my favorite shows so I might see if I can get a bootleg copy. Super excited about the Watchmen though, I am a graphic novel freak so I've been waiting a long time for that one will definitely the price of a ticket to go see that one.

I saw this last Friday, I loved the first half hour. Mostly though, it made me laugh, not so much 'scare' me. I'm not disappointed in spending the money to see it though, it was a fun time.
