Behind the Screen: Fresh Meat 2: Reunion Show (Spoilers)

For over two decades, MTV's The Challenge has been the proving ground where reality TV's fiercest competitors come to cement their legacies. What started as a Real World/Road Rules spinoff has evolved into one of the most physically and mentally demanding competition series on television.

The franchise's expansion — with spinoffs in the USA, UK, Argentina, and Australia — speaks to a global appetite for the brand of cutthroat competition and alliance-driven gameplay that Vevmo's community has been tracking since 2007.

Fresh Meat 2: Reunion Show (Spoilers)

I'm not saying Luke wasn't a slacker or was better at the events than he was made out to be, because I think we get a fair and accurate depiction of his makeup/capabilities from what they did show, but I do think Evelyn was a sore loser (she admitted something to that effect during the reunion) and could have handled it better. I wouldn't call her out as a liar when she said he botched the whole thing for them, but I find it hard to believe he was calling for breaks every few minutes and messing up nearly complete puzzles. He wasn't that bad in their first Exile. There's a lot we don't know, like did he insist she carry more weight than him or was it a strategic decision on her part? She makes him sound like a sissy-man and I doubt that's true.

Any chance someone could post Ev's blog? Don't really want to create a myspace to read it.

On her myspace: MySpace - www.myspace.com/141098528 You need to friend her to read it, but if you tell her you're from Vevmo she'll probably accept. She doesn't want people to copy/paste her blog anywhere, which is why you won't find us doing that here.

Sorry. She requests people to not re-post her blogs.

She explains all of it in her blog.

Did he say this online somewhere, or do we take your word for it? Not that your word isn't good; just that I like having proof of something before I accept it and spread it.

People still use myspace?? Gross. I'm gonna need Evelyn to get on this thing called Facebook or Twitter Also I dont think the fresh meat girls were jealous of Laurel one bit. I think most of them were there to have a good time and win some money. While Laurel just came to win some money. And thats all she ever talked about. And like Ryan said she was always concerned with being the best and being number one and blah blah blah. While the others girls just didn't give a ****. Notice all her interviews are about JUST that, being the best. The other girls just didnt seem conceited and always trying to prove something. They just enjoyed the experience and the ride.

LOL. I like my odds on this one.

LOL she knows it's gone down the ****ter...even wrote that she was probably gonna ditch it for facebook soon.

Evelyn posted a comment to her blog elaborating more about FM2. To anyone who says she may give a biased unfair view of events she acknowledges her own shortcomings as Luke's partner. And gives him some credit as a competitor.

I'd have to go back and watch the first couple of episodes to be sure, but Laurel didn't seem obsessed with winning early on. She probably got amped up on expectations after the first few wins and it's easy to feel begrudged when you fail in that position (ie Evelyn's deal). As far as the confidence vs cockiness debate, both were accused of being cocky at some point. It doesn't matter that they thought they were exuding confidence instead, perception is reality and if the whole house thinks your attitude sucks, you are wrong.

Very good reunion, much better than The Ruins.

Yeah I just read that. I never thought the original post seemed biased, but if any of you did, that opinion should be smashed after reading her comment. She does nothing but admit her own faults as well. She's really well spoken.

My thoughts exactly and I don't want to make a myspace just to read it.

Buck, you and some of the others are making a believer out of me... Almost enough for me to consider making an exception to my "friending" policy with regard to reality-tv stars.

See, that's the thing about Evelyn. She doesn't consider herself a star; she just uses her blog to explain her thoughts and feelings about the shows and episodes, and whether or not she thinks they were accurate. Despite what Kenny said, she's not in it for the fame--she doesn't do appearance or anything, and if you write to her, she will do her best to write back. She was a lot more candid in her blogs on her earlier seasons, like I3, but she still offers insight in her later seasons as well. And while of course she is going to give her side of the story and defend herself, she will not hesitate to admit it if she thinks she made a mistake or wronged someone.

This is why I have a lot of respect for her and don't think she's cocky. She's confident and has every right to be just look at her track record, it's the reason she intimidates other competitors; not because of a loud bark. I think if she was truly cocky she would put the blame solely on Luke (or any other teammate) and sing her own praises.

I really like Ev, but sometimes I feel like she can be a little immature.
Gabxmarie#561
Well, for any who were hoping to read her final FM 2 blog, she took it down because someone told her it was being copied/pasted elsewhere without her permission.
Aereas#562
Darn, I was actually going to friend her to read it too. Maybe she's kept great notes through the years and she'll write a book about her experiences one day. I'd buy it.

There is nothing wrong with Laurel's primary focus in being the best. The other girls picked on Laurel because they felt she wasn't sociable, and that's their deal. Other than her childish antics toward Carley (in an obvious act of jealousy, Laurel is OK by me). Evelyn has always and will always be a class act. I have been befuddled by why she gets so much hate on these blogs when she is one of the most interpersonal people in the history of MTV/BMP reality. Also while myspace may be outdated somewhat, she is the only reason why I kept my account because her blogs gave so much insight. In addition, she always answered questions from people, even the tough ones with honor and class. Furthermore, her assessment of Luke is and was spot on. I have always respected & liked Evelyn the most because she is the most genuine. I remember I questioned her motives on G3 with the Coral situation, and she was upfront. Did I agree, no, but at least she offered insight. ....... no one else has. Truthfully, it bothers me that some of the cast has ill will towards her, and why, because she is a strong competitor who isn't a lapdog that follows status quo like most others whom some consider heroes (Rachel R, Susie M., Paula, Veronica, Coral, Kina, Diem on and on). As much as I have defended Jillian, she too has come to be a follower. This is why on past recent challenges, these females seem to bash Evelyn, because f the backing of people like Johnny, Kenny, and Evan (who really is not that bad). It's easy to talk crap and pick on someone when she is always against the majority. For example, had Susie and Evelyn been on opposite teams in the Ruins, Susie would have kept her mouth shut because she knows Ev would destroy her in anything. Hands down, Evelyn would smoke any of these girls in a face off & half the guys. Tonya and Aneesa imo are the only ones that stand a remote chance, because they too are usually treated as outcast, and have done well in face offs.

I just saw it. Sucks that she deleted it but I'm glad I got to read it beforehand.

Well the dailies show pretty much whatever would be shown in "*** they should've shown". I understand why it's not needed anymore.
Aereas#569
Am I missing a lot by not watching these dailies? I already have to deal with watching the same stupid 3-4 commercials over and over while watching the past seasons I missed, if I had to suffer through them any more my head might explode. That's reason enough for me to roll them into a tv program instead.
