Behind the Screen: Fresh Meat 2: Episode - Thank God It Is Over

For over two decades, MTV's The Challenge has been the proving ground where reality TV's fiercest competitors come to cement their legacies. What started as a Real World/Road Rules spinoff has evolved into one of the most physically and mentally demanding competition series on television.

The franchise's expansion — with spinoffs in the USA, UK, Argentina, and Australia — speaks to a global appetite for the brand of cutthroat competition and alliance-driven gameplay that Vevmo's community has been tracking since 2007.

Once again, does everyone see how horrible that head start is...

I'm glad Jenn and Noor won the exile since Noor seems like a nice guy. Go Landon and Carley...

Man that rope sucks.

Was Jill joking? I think she has a deadpan humor, but she really is having a hard time staying on the bike.

"I don't think Carley rides mountain bikes a lot" I'm gonna guess never, Landon.

She was joking. At the reunion she confesses to Pete that she was lying.

That puzzle was no joke, I didn't even understand the instructions LOL....talk about ultimate Sudoku!

Pathetic. All the crazy **** these people have done this season, and some of them can't even ride a ******* bike!

Thanks.

Though I do sudoku puzzles, I thought the challenge version looked hard at first, too, until I actually tried to solve it. Once you get a couple of numbers in place, the rest is easy to finish. It just looks more difficult because of the way it's set up.

So she just sucks that much at riding a bike?

Landon is a hero... Win or not.

Agreed. He is pretty much the only reason I kept tuning in to this Challenge. He would kill everyone if he didn't have to wait for Carley even though she is trying to keep pace.

What is going on with the girls! They need to step it up!

Seriously. I have a lot of respect for him and Noor for not screaming at their partners.

On top of that he's the ONLY one not cursing at his partner (well Noor seems calm as well, he probably gave into the fact there's no shot lol).

Landon is a beast, if this was a duel format he would destroy all of these guys. But Noor would definitely be number 2.
townie#49
Seriously, after watching this episode, nobody should ever complain again if guys ever plan to throw missions so they can get rid of girls for final challenges. This is the epitome of pathetic. Landon could probably finish this thing 5 or 6 times before any of the girls finished once.

Totally agree with all of this (especially the bolded parts). I'm so glad Landon didn't go crazy on Carley. On the first episode, I could tell initially that he was disappointed to be the last guy to get a partner, since he didn't get a choice, but he's been great the whole time with her.
MTVjunkie#51
Oh how I hope Landon and Carley win! Plus he's such a great partner! He never raises his voice at Carley even when he's dragging her along.

aaaargghaaaarrgh I know! You'd think that fat paycheck at the finish line would be enough to motivate them to ride a bike or crawl a little faster.
bayday#53
By the way, wow the Top 3 are really close to each other, they seem separated by only a few minutes!

She said that her legs were too short to reach the pedals and it wasn't the right size. And then Pete said he adjusted it for her but she still said it wasn't a good bike.
bayday#55
I'm so mad Jill needed to take the whole bag from Pete, what happen to being pumped!? Dude step it up!

Post 12 in this thread, I am dead dead dead and reincarnated. I've already pissed my pants.

Landon has such composure, that you do not see in any of not only the cast remaining, but the cast at large. Maybe that does say something about casting. I am sure the guy is not perfect (none of us are) but he does a good job at living life and finding that mold.

Thought the same thing til Laurel carried that 80lb bag. What a beast.

They seem to be separated by the head start times.

Female competitors have shown themselves to do fine enough several times throughout the challenge series over the years. Just because these girls are having trouble, it doesn't mean that they were horrible the whole time. I've seen guys not do so well on this challenge as well (and other challenges - there are weak guys that the others don't try to get rid of). Though I was shocked Jillian kept falling off the bike, I don't think it was easy for the teams to ride bikes roped together. You have to be in sync well enough to do it. Some competitors may not have enough patience. Wow, I shocked at the climbing! This is some RR stuff to me.
