Behind the Screen: The Final Destination

The reality TV landscape has never been more crowded or more diverse. From dating shows to competition series to docusoaps, networks and streamers are betting big on unscripted content.

What sets the great shows apart is their ability to create genuine moments — the kind of unscripted drama that no writer's room could manufacture. That's what keeps fans coming back.

The Final Destination

This movie was....meh. You could tell they were just trying to cash in on the 3D craze. The first couple of deaths were good....but there was absolutely NO story line or plot at all. It was basically the same thing over again..."I had a vision" "I think we can cheat death" blah blah blah. The first three were better. And I ABSOLUTELY LOVE horror movies. I too saw Sorority Row :).

Well, first off, I went into the theater with low expectations. The main reason I went was because Jaime from RW San Diego was in it. Plus, im a sucker for horror movies, they're my fav. I almost always go see the latest horror flick, like a review critic. That being said...the movie actually started out pretty good. There was maybe two times that I actually jumped, and the death scenes were surprisingly very creative and almost Final Destination/Saw like. However, during the final half of the movie, it took a turn for the worse. It basically turned into a comedy. Everyone was making jokes at the most awkard of times. That's the ONE thing that I hate about the horror movies of this generation, they try way too hard to be funny, and forget to be actually SCARY. It was all downhill from there. It was just one big disappointment after the other. I gave it a D+. Started out good, but during the final half lost all of it's steam. If you really are as big of a horror movie fan as I am, I suggest you check out the trailers for "Paranormal Activity" and "REC 2"(the movie Quarantine was based off of). Also, check the viral campaign for "The Cabin in the Woods", its being directed by creative genious Joss Whedon(BTVS, Dollhouse).
