Behind the Screen: Duel 2 Ratings

For over two decades, MTV's The Challenge has been the proving ground where reality TV's fiercest competitors come to cement their legacies. What started as a Real World/Road Rules spinoff has evolved into one of the most physically and mentally demanding competition series on television.

The franchise's expansion — with spinoffs in the USA, UK, Argentina, and Australia — speaks to a global appetite for the brand of cutthroat competition and alliance-driven gameplay that Vevmo's community has been tracking since 2007.

Was this week's Man vs Wild the episode with Will Ferrell in it? Or does it normally do that well?

Will Ferrell episode. It pulled the best ratings that show has ever seen from what I've heard. I only randomly watch it but I wish I saw this episode as I heard it was hilarious.

Actually, TVbytheNumbers already posted the numbers. Via TVbytheNumbers... Based on requests for ratings info, I know we have a few fans of this show. Here are some numbers for last night’s (June 3) broadcast from our friends at MTV, so you won’t have to wait until next Tuesday when we post the weekly cable data. Real World/Road Rules: The Duel 2 averaged 1.8 million viewers, ahead of its 1.69M season-to-date average and ruled prime-time on cable with people aged 12-34, and was the number one show on cable all day with females 12-34. It had a 1.82 P12-34 coverage rating, a season high and also had a season high with females 18-24. Wow... what a huge comeback. Can the finale break the 2 million mark? I hope so.

Robert, the creator, has stated in that article that RW: Cancun ratings will be brought the day after of each of its episodes' airings. So we are basically getting lucky here, rather than waiting a whole week.

This has to mean that MTV PR has promised him the numbers on a day-after basis. It is MTV's way to getting the numbers to us without talking to us.

Nice ratings! That is great.

I will count us as fortunate if MTV's PR people bother to read and respond to the our email where we asked for the same "service" for The Duel's ratings.

The ratings made #3. I am trying to post the table but it says it is not allowed. I took the shot, cropped it on Microsoft Photo Manager, and saved it as a .jpg file. Help?
