Dexter: Season 7

I agree, the whole time at the end I was yelling "IT'S A DREAM!!!" at my television, I was very pleased to see that it wasn't though. And Fab, I can't believe all the LaGuerta hate. I legit grow to love her more and more every season. And this one will be no different. She was looking damn hot last night. Damn hot. And I have never been more impressed with Deb (Jennifer Carpenter?) as an actress as I was last night.

I've learned that you and I never share opinions on anything, so what's new? LaGuerta has just gotten ruthless in the past couple of seasons and she needs to go as soon as possible. And I think this will be the year that Jennifer Carpenter will put herself on the Emmy map.

Haha sorry Fab, one day we'll both hate/love something, I promise! I like LaGuerta's ruthlessness, its edgy and fun to watch. Completely agree on Carpenter getting that Emmy this year, I was highly impressed with her in the premiere and I feel like she's just gonna get better as the season progresses

Did anybody watch last night?! Where the hell does Lewis get off??! Him and the Dark Passenger need to have a little sit down! And Laguerta I love you boo, please just drop it with the slides! And again, fine acting by Jennifer Carpenter! And I love that Harry's 2 for 2 episodes this season.

Another REALLY good episode. I'm sure Dexter will end up killing Lewis, so we don't have to worry about him. Are you really happy that Harry was in 2 episodes? I've been sick of Harry since Season 4. I'm ready for him to move on. And you're right. Another great acting job by Jennifer Carpenter.

He's a disposable character. Should have been gone after Season 4. The less characters, the better in my opinion. The persona of Harry annoys me and just repeats the same thing over and over to Dexter. We get it, you taught him the code and Dexter is disobeying it...

True he does tend to be repetitive, but he;s almost always spot on with what I think about Dex's behavior and I like their relationship/dynamic.

I actually feel bad for Harry actor James Remar. The only real adlib he has been able to do in the last 4 years is decide where to place the emphasis in his weekly line, "What were you thinking Dexter?" On the set of Dexter... James Remar: I think today I am going to really explode that "what" up and then lower the tone on "Dexter" to convey severe disappointment. Or maybe I'll play with the "were" today. Ah, yes...it is all about the "were" and I just needed to realize it! This is going to get me an Emmy! "What were you thinking Dexter?"

I think this season is turning out really well! I haven't seen the most recent episode, but I think from what I've seen that it's going to be an interesting one. Especially since Deb escaped from Speltzer (can't remember his name, but the bald guy). But what's with all these blonde girls? They need to give Dexter someone who isn't blonde...

I don't think so...going too far would be me saying that Dexter and Deb were made for each other... :D

Anyone see last nights episode??! I loved Isaak as a character and it was disappointing to see him go. The dynamic between him and Dex was really cool to watch, and I agree with Isaak that under different circumstances they could have been good friends. Another excellent performance by Deb/Carpenter... Laguerta, I love you girl but you need to drop this Butcher hangup you're on. I don't want you to die... At this point though I'm pretty sure either her or Quinn will be gone come season's end... Lastly, as for the Body Burning Killer, does anyone else think its pretty obvious that's its the burn specialist guy?? I was shocked that Dex or no one else called it right then and there. However, Miami Metro as a whole does have their hands full this season. 3 episodes left! Can't wait! Love how this season is shaping up, probably my favorite since S3!

I saw the episode and I absolutely think this season is going in the right direction and it's definitely going to put Jennifer Carpenter (Deb) on the map for Emmy season. I liked the dynamic as well between Dexter and Isaak, so it really was hard to see him go, but understandable considering he would have ended up dead eventually by Dexter's hands. As for Laguerta, I really hope it's her that bites the bullet this season. Her and Quinn can go in my eyes and it wouldn't hurt the show in the slightest. And as for your theory, the minute I saw the burn specialist, I thought it was him. Dexter had other things to worry about, but I feel as if just by facial expression he suspected him. He just had Isaak and his killers on his mind instead. And are you seriously saying you loved Season 3? Because this is my favorite since Season 4 (Trinity Killer Season), whereas Season 3 is my least favorite out of all the seasons.

See I love me some Maria Laguerta, if she dies, the show immediately loses steam for me, unless this is the last season. But a season without Laguerta would make me sad... Good call on the facial expressions, I didn't read too much into those, but your prob on to something. First time I saw the burn guy I didn't think much of him, but in his next scene, I was like "Okay, this guy is talking waaay too much!" And yeah def agree that Dex's mind was elsewhere at the time. As for Season 3 haha, I know I'm in the very small minority here, but I loved that season and it's always been my favorite! Loved Prado as the villain, and his dynamic with Dex was entertaining. Quinn got introduced and was a good replacement for Doakes. And the Rita/Dex relationship grew that season. Deb proves again that she can't keep a man, and Laguerta got some love too. As for S4, I didn't like that Lundy died, I loved Lundy, and the season was great up until they killed Rita, I'll never get over this. Rita was awesome!! Best thing that ever happened to Dexter, the character, not the series haha. For me top 3 seasons are 3>2>4... 5 had potential but failed mostly because Lumen defied my rule of "No One Leaves Dexter Forever Unless They're In a Body Bag"... Still holding out hope that she returns and gets West Nile or something.

God no, Lila made damn sure of that... And if he were alive, that would be soooooooo terrible for this show. There'd be no plausible way for that to happen. All in all, a good episode tonight, it was way more laxed which was a nice change of pace. Holy hell if Laguerta didn't haven't screaming at the TV. I knew she wouldn't just drop it that easily though. She's a smart, calculating, beautiful woman who prob has her eye on whatever position is above Captain. Next week looks intense though!! Dex needs to clean up the slop though, tonight was way too close

I shouldn't have watched the preview as now I am concerned for our anti-hero's safety. My main issue with tonight's episode is that there is no realistic way out of this for Dex through my lens. The trap set by Laguerta, while not successful - basically proved that he was making plans. The fact that he did not carry out the act, leaves a witness. More pressing is the reality that his girlfriend who knows enough to send him away, is in jail and ripe for a deal. All that aside, good episode and I really wish I could fast forward to the finale right now!

Ohhhh, this hadnt crossed my mind yet but is an excellent point... I agree with everything you said, including wishing I hadn't watched the preview. That was hard to sit through, I'm sad now! But you're right, I think Dex is in too deep this time, way in over his head. Also, I thought this was the last season? What gives? Oh, and finale episode is titled "Surprise, Mother****er!"

There's one more season on the contract after this one. So it should end after Season 8.

I really hope this season doesn't end up with him being arrested and next season we get a drug out trial. I'll be pissed. I just don't understand how he will get out of this one.

I was chewing on this last night before bed and thought that Dex could maybe get Deb's help to set him up in a kill room making it seem as though he was a potential BHB victim?? I feel asleep before the rest could pan out, but you get the jist

I thought it was a great episode. However, we all know Doakes is dead, they won't bring him back to "life," but I have a feeling he'll be brought back in Dexter's head, just like Brian was the one time and how his dad is often there a lot. Unless of course they play the "Doakes has a twin" card.

So glad they decided to kill off Laguerta and the way they did it was just spectacular! I'll be really upset if they decide to keep her alive miraculously or end Dexter in a way that is too predictable. Overall, the best season since Season 4. And I still really think Jennifer Carpenter deserves some sort of recognition from an award this season. Great job on her part!
