Behind the Screen: Daisy of Love

For over two decades, MTV's The Challenge has been the proving ground where reality TV's fiercest competitors come to cement their legacies. What started as a Real World/Road Rules spinoff has evolved into one of the most physically and mentally demanding competition series on television.

The franchise's expansion — with spinoffs in the USA, UK, Argentina, and Australia — speaks to a global appetite for the brand of cutthroat competition and alliance-driven gameplay that Vevmo's community has been tracking since 2007.

This show and Real Chance at Love come at a perfect time for me as I step away from reality TV for a while. Maybe VH1 will decide to go in another direction before I return...

Lol, yeah that was a nice one. Idk, I'm gonna watch DOL anyway, I just wonder why Daisy, she wasn't that special.
darksamurai88#13
same here... It would make more sense for it to be Heather of Love not Daisy

If it was Heather of love that would be alot better than what we are getting. Not offense to Daisy but there are plenty of other people I'd rather see with their own show.

Exactly, Daisy didn't really stand out. She was just there... drunk. And her name's not even Daisy De La Hoya. She made that up, her name's Vanessa Mossman.

LMAO about the fake name. Seriously , I really thought that was her name.

VH1 / 51 Minds have gave Daisy, the runner up of Rock Of Love her own show. Anyone happy about this ? or if your like me you think she doesn't deserve one and all she does is wine wine wine. Why does she need a boyfriend when she went on Rock Of Love 2 she already had one ? makes no sense to be. Well there in the early stages of her show, there starting casting, so there's still a chance to stop it !!!! if you don't like Daisy, or if you think it's just stupid to give her a show and you won't watch it, add the PETITION TO STOP DAISY OF LOVE PAGE !!! www. myspace. com/stopdaisyoflove Thankz, be sure to read the page and follow it's instructions ROCK ON!!!
I thought that this was a very funny bulletin on myspace! Not that I think it will work.

The author of that myspace page lends credibility to the argument that the US education system is an abject failure.

Guys you have to realise that 51 Minds are very good at what they do. They have created a new form of reality tv, we all know that no reality tv is actual reality tv. 51 Minds have found the type of characters time and time again to craft into their own. It's comedy-reality tv.

Do you know any of the BMP crew who were loaned out to 51 Minds for "I Love Money?" I'm reading into your comment that you have some real-world experience base to call upon.

Okay so apparently I'm the only one in the world not that impressed with Daisy, she looks like a giant blow up doll. . .which is fine for Rock of Love but did she really need her own spin off? Now Trophy Wife I'm looking forward to just because Megan is at least entertaining. But I'm still waiting for Entertainer of Love, because despite that fact that he still lives with his parents and is a little crazy there's still something about him.

Daisy isn't pretty at all! She is too trashy. And I am really starting to hate Megan. She was one of my favorites on Beauty and the Geek and she won a lot of money there. Now she goes off an does these shows again and again?
Binary Solo#24
See for me most of these shows these people seem more like characters than actual people (the real world probably being the most "realest" of the bunch), so I can't say I hate any of them really. I haven't seen beauty and the geek and for some reason I don't really remember her from rock of love maybe I wasn't really watching as many episodes back then. But on Charm School and I Love Money she was hilarious, most reality shows needs a good villain I think. She seems like she's just having fun she knows how it all goes so she's just playing it for all it's worth. The only one I'm not so crazy about is Lacey who comes off more like she's psychopathic, kind of weird glazed over look in her eyes but even her I can't say I hate.

Yes, please, we need an entertainer of love.

Megan was not that memorable on ROL2. The ones that stood out to me are Ambre, Destiny, Kristy Joe, & Daisy. I love money is where Megan started to be entertaining.

*takes strong exception* You might be well served by reading our previous threads that include details of Megan's role as "actress" on ROL2 and ILM.

There are plenty of "reality stars" who do multiple shows. I dont think it's that big of a deal. It seems like a fun way to earn a paycheck. I think you may be taking all of this a little too seriously.
