Behind the Screen: Cut Throat - Ty Ruff

For over two decades, MTV's The Challenge has been the proving ground where reality TV's fiercest competitors come to cement their legacies. What started as a Real World/Road Rules spinoff has evolved into one of the most physically and mentally demanding competition series on television.

The franchise's expansion — with spinoffs in the USA, UK, Argentina, and Australia — speaks to a global appetite for the brand of cutthroat competition and alliance-driven gameplay that Vevmo's community has been tracking since 2007.

Or actually eat before a challenge unlike this one where he was too afraid that he'd get "fat" according to other people that were there.

I agree, a rookie who doesn't blend in the background.

One thing people should know about Ty's athleticism is that he played division 3 football. D3 do not give out athletic scholarships, so it is pretty much like an intramural. Also, there have been other former D1 athletes who have been less than stellar on the challenges. So lets not go overboard with him playing college football is proof of how "great" he is.

I would not say it's like an intramural. I had two friends who were very athletic play for D3 football programs. It's definitely not as big as D1 or D2, but I wouldn't say D3 football players are just like any intramural team. Give some credit where credit is due.

I mean...my D1 club team beat D2 varsity teams. But we were really good. D3 might not be like an intramural team, but they're not anything special.

I know nothing about college football, so is it like Varsity, JV, and Freshman?

What sport? I have quite a few friends that have went to D3 and NAIA schools to play football, and some basketball so I believe that they're not full rides but it's cheaper than the normal student to go to school there. There are some D3 guys to make it in the NFL, like Pierre Garcon.

I was under the impression he wanted to be an underwear model and needed to stay "cut". Apparently he had toast and a banana every day. And that's all...no wonder he had no gas in the tank.

That's what Johnny said on Derrick and Kenny's podcast, so I'm pretty pissed that he is back, he's super annoying.
