Behind the Screen: Cut Throat - Camila Nakagawa

For over two decades, MTV's The Challenge has been the proving ground where reality TV's fiercest competitors come to cement their legacies. What started as a Real World/Road Rules spinoff has evolved into one of the most physically and mentally demanding competition series on television.

The franchise's expansion — with spinoffs in the USA, UK, Argentina, and Australia — speaks to a global appetite for the brand of cutthroat competition and alliance-driven gameplay that Vevmo's community has been tracking since 2007.

And the castmember thread I've been dreading to be inevitably created has appeared...

Cut Throat - Camila Nakagawa

User image First Appearance: Spring Break Challenge What do you mean you don't know who she is? Thats Camilla from the Spring Break Challenge silly! Unlike everyone on this Challenge, she isn't a Real World, Road Rules or Fresh Meat member, she was just a random pick on Spring Break, and managed to find herself in the thick of an actual Challenge. Out of all the Challengers, she has the most to prove because at least the Fresh Meat have a season. Will she prove she belongs? Or will she be the first one sent packing for being a rookie? Previous Challenges: None

And the castmember thread I've been dreading to be inevitably created has appeared... haha. Whatever. I'm over it. As long as she brings something to the show, I'm fine with it.

Lol there is a reason I did her's last. Mind you hadn't seen a pick of her and she is hot! This Challenge has the collection of the hottest women ever to do these things.

I am really curious as how she will do in the big leagues. The only person I think she knew was Paula going into this.
Arizona#6
Well, she is very beautiful.

Agreed. If nothing else, she is at least easy on the eyes lol

Ditto, she's very very beautiful.

Maybe she'll play the flirty card.

She's pretty, but there's something off about her face. This sounds really mean, but there is, and I can't quite pinpoint it :/
ballinbroken#11
She is definitely one of the 3 hottest girls on this challenge. (Not as hot as Svetlana!)

I think it's her cheekbones that make her face look unique. They arent as roundly shaped as other people's. But unlike you, I think it makes her even prettier. I didn't watch the SBC, but in the cast thread wit hthe picture of her crying(?), I didn't think she was going to be as attractive as she really is.

I saw the first episode of the Spring Break Challenge but I barely remember any of it. For anyone that watched and remembers it, did this girl do anything out of the ordinary? Was she a good competitor? Which RW/RR alumni was her team captain? I'm just wondering why they chose her?
UrbanTactics#14
Sorry but I think she's hideous

Besides act really really strange and loud (not like Tina loud) nothing.
icubaby#17
She's really hot in person too, and really cool.

She's crazy... if she has an accent then I think she'll remind me of Belou. Lol. I'm giving her a chance.

I get what you are saying completely. The face throws me off just a smidge, but like you I can't tell what it is. I am looking forward to seeing how she copes though, I'm not saying I'll like her, but I just want to see how she fits in. edit: Actually now that I think of it, I think it's the way she has her hair.

At least she doesn't have a mullet, or a style mullet ;)

Oh wow. Ew. Now I'm really not looking forward to her being on this challenge. Talk about wanting attention, geez.
ramrunner17#21
attention or maybe dehydration/heatstroke? I'm pretty sure "Spring Break Challenge" wasn't a big enough deal for that... you do know it was probably close to 100 degrees there. some people are so quick to judge.
LakersFan2#22
I don't know what you guys are talking about but I think she's gorgeous! I'm thinking maybe her cheeks? Or her smile that makes her cheeks look like that? Either way she's hot =P And is it wrong that I was laughing throughout the video where she's possibly having a heat stroke? Too funny.

According to her comments in the YouTube video, she claims she was likely "allergic" to the peppers.
TRY EATING 3 HABANERO PEPPER when you're probrably allergic to it and didn't know. maybe the blood vessels under your eyes will pop too. try eating 3 HABANERO peppers... its fun. not a pepper. 3 habaneros.
I'm still going with an overreaction to really hot peppers. Some people do have a stronger reaction to them than others but it was a tad dramatic for me.
Entropy#24
Water for hot peppers? What the hell where they thinking, that activates the spice even more. Milk is a sure fire spice killer.

Does anyone know the origins of her last name? It sounds Japanese, but she is Brazilian, apparently. Maybe she's part Asian?
RMD1#26
I think it sounds Native American myself.

If you type it in on Google while looking for name origins, Nakagawa comes up with a Japanese origin with it meaning "middle river."

Brazil has a large Japanese community and many Brazilians have Japanese ancestry.

Yeah, that makes sense. I know a lot of South Americans with Japanese or Chinese ancestry.

Woah, I don't think I was being quick to judge. I understand that she was obviously suffering to a point, I just think all the screaming and spitting out water was a little over the top and for the cameras. I also thought it was interesting how one minute she could barely speak or keep water down but as soon as the people off camera started making fun of her she could suddenly speak and curse them out, lol.
