Behind the Screen: The Challenge: Rivals II - The Dark Knight Rises

For over two decades, MTV's The Challenge has been the proving ground where reality TV's fiercest competitors come to cement their legacies. What started as a Real World/Road Rules spinoff has evolved into one of the most physically and mentally demanding competition series on television.

The franchise's expansion — with spinoffs in the USA, UK, Argentina, and Australia — speaks to a global appetite for the brand of cutthroat competition and alliance-driven gameplay that Vevmo's community has been tracking since 2007.

iTunes I believe.

I'm so glad redneck Trishelle got put in her place. Aneesa does not play! And Trishelle always struck as a person who was easy any way. She's the original Jonna. Well after Kameelah of course.

In this instance, I only know that something substantially more happened since BMP/MTV has, according to her tweets, slapped Trishelle with some form of gag "order," likely citing a contractual clause associated with a $5M penalty.
I'm sorry but I'll believe that when I see it. However it's like people constantly make excuse out of everything when their favorite character gets played.

That's pretty obvious at this point. A squirrel could tell you that. When they aren't a traffic detour that is...

Are we certain of that? Real World is owned by BMP while The Challenge is owned by MTV. They could do a Fresh Meat 3 to help replenish the Challenge if they needed to. Whether or not they continue to let BMP run it is a separate matter entirely.

If they have to use a FM3 to get enough cast members the show would die a natural death anyway

I merely pointing it out as an option. It will certainly leave a void in the reality tv sphere if it dies.

Hey guys, try not to attack me with this. But is anybody else really not feeling this season so far? The girl teams are pathetic, with the exception of Paula and Emily, and we just lost another potentially decent team with Sarah leaving. I feel like girl elimination weeks are really going to kill this season. Maybe I just don't like the format; I didn't like the first Rivals either.

Jonna & Nany are legit...they've competed extremely well and would be a threat in a final if they can reach it. I hate the format as well

even Emily tweeted that what we see is what we get with Trashelle. I think its safe to say that she's portrayed pretty accurately. That extra footage they showed in the after show only proved the point further, I can see why most of the cast dislikes her

Like KVM said. Jonna and Nany are a good team too...But I do agree with the Format though. I like the same-sex pair Idea. But I don't like how voting is done and how since this format has guy day/girl days. It's not important for half the teams to compete. And I don't like how it's a final 3 either. For that I think they should change it to a Final 2 or get more teams. 7 teams on each side seems too low a number.

Yeah when she wasn't laid up with The Miz and Steven Hill who thinks he's heterosexual she didn't do anything memorable.

Maybe, maybe not, Puma. The Fresh Meat idea is a bust. They still have the fact that the same fools without jobs are still returning. Fresh Meat 1 had better newcomers but they missed out with people like Ryan and Jessie and Johnny/Aviv and Chanda the latter of which were promising.

Understandable but if someone other than BMP is doing the Challenges for MTV then the ****** environment of the house will probably change and more people might be willing to return. We know some have turned it down because of that environment and there are many who said they would consider returning for the right reasons (which is not always money).

if this challenge continues to do well in ratings, I can see them continuing the series even if the Real World gets cancelled. There are a few options: A. they can make it an 'MTV Challenge' and bring in new members via other MTV shows (there has already been talk of Jersey Shore cast members competing) B. they can do the 'Fresh Meat' format more often (maybe have a Fresh Meat every other season?). So basically instead of the Real World airing, there will be a Fresh Meat challenge every year. The cast members who would have made it to the Real World house would instead go straight to the challenge. This would be a good thing as it would mean twice the amount of challenges we would normally get during a year. :eagerness: not sure how feasible either of those are, but they are both options of continuing the challenge while still adding new competitors along the way

Anyone else laugh at the title's unintentional racism?

If the Jersey Shore cast members start competing in Challenges, I'm out.

I'll actually be more in. I would love to see Situation get rammed in a Hall Brawl elimination against someone like Zach or CT.

I'm with you on this one. I'd be officially done with this show. But luckily that's never going to happen.

Don't worry, Sarah. You'll be paired with Jordan on Exes 2 and you will win that thing.

Sorry to revive but he foreshadowed this lol
