The Challenge: Rivals - Evelyn Smith Interview Questions

What was her relationship with Paula like before/during/after rivals? Did she have any idea that Paula was going to be her partner or was she suprised when TJ announced it? Also, what is her opinion on TJ because on previous challenges they did not like each other.

How many questions are we allowed to ask? :blush: If we assume, that the Challenges will continue: Does she want to do more Challenges? Or only if it is the Duel 3? Why doesn't she like to interact more with fans via Twitter or podcasts? Which cast members does she consider a true friend? Did she get along with Johnny Bananas on the Rivals or does she still want to kill him? Has she finished school and if so, what are her plans for her future in general? In what way have the Challenges changed since she has started (Fresh Meat 1)? What does she think of Laurel as a competitor? Is she bothered by the immature comments about her gender? Why doesn't she kick Johnny in the balls when cameras are not around? Or outside of the show? How good did the pizza taste on The Island?

I remember in older seasons cast members saying they had Saturdays off from filming. Is this still the case? If so, were there interesting things that happened and did people have different personalities when the cameras weren't rolling?

When and how does you plan to get her revenge on Johnny? Do Derrick and you have beef? if so why? Are you and Paula now friends or do you both still hate each other? Who from the challenges do you trust? Who from the challenges do you consider a friend? Do you still talk to Brooke?

Would you like to have an elimination round one on one versus Laurel because everyone wants to see once and for all who the best girl is? And are you confident that you would win?

Which challenge season was the most fun to film? Which one did you enjoy watching the most?

Where did you go to school?

What's her opinion about the rookie girls on rivals? She was supporting them by wearing their team shirts at the Jungle against Sarah & Katelynn.

Are there any girls (Rachel, Ruthie, Laurel, etc.) who she would have trepedations about going into an elimination round against? Are there any challenges she didn't do that she would have liked to?

Do you know what Chanda, Johnnie, Aviv, Linette or Jesse have been up to?

Is she still planning to move to either South Africa or Australia and live in the jungle? What is/was the purpose behind that idea? Given that she is one of the most capable players in the game, why does she think so many of the power players have been so reluctant to work with her?

Which challenge alumni does she look forward to doing challenges which alumni does she dread doing challenges with?

How does she feel about how she's been portrayed by MTV? Also, tell her thank you for doing this - Evelyn rocks!!!

Do you think you would have won the Duel had you not been forced to decline due to illness?

I'm curious as to what her exact opinion is about the comments that certain people, mostly Johnny but other cast members, as well as even some fans, make about her gender. It seems to come up way too often and I don't think I've ever heard her comment on those remarks.

1. Her opinion about the newbies on Rivals (Jonna, Jasmine, Michael & leeroy Leroy)? 2. After her experience with Brooke would she hook up or date someone on from the challenge again?

What male challengers does she feel are the best and most well rounded?

Who are the 5 best male challengers and who are the 5 five female challengers for her?

Is her and Johnny's relationship better or worse after rivals? Does she still have bad blood with Kenny? What does she think about Wes' cocky comments and is he different when they talk alone? Which cast members would she consider friends? Is she still willing to do another challenge? What's with her and Derrick's animosity towards each other? What was her initial thoughts when she found out Paula was her partner, and did her and Paula actually have real animosity before rivals? Who does she think is the top 5 guys/ top 5 girls on Rivals. What are her plans for the future if it doesn't include the challenges?

It seemed like she and Kenny were close on the Inferno III and the early days of the Island (I could be wrong obviously...you would know better than I would), did something happen between the two of them between then and Fresh Meat II? Or was it his involvement in the KellyAnne vs Evelyn match up on the Ruins?

Do she still talk to Kelly Anne on a regular basis?

I also wanted to add what her first thoughts about rivals when it was annouced by TJ, and when it was annouced Paula would be her partner?

Why did you not like Veronica before "The Ruins" and why did your opinion change after doing that challenge?

Evelyn said during the Ruins aftershow that she cannot trust JEK in a challenge ever again. This season, she has been in their alliance. Have they gained back her trust or is she simply just going along with it because Wes, her buddy in this game, is teaming up with them?

What is her favorite sport and why? Which sport has good physical outcomes to her, aside from swimming.

I'll try to go for questions that haven't already been asked by other posters. What is her workout regimen? She looks very tone but not muscle-bound like a female bodybuilder (I'm glad she has the more lean look). Does she have any type of relationship with Danny anymore? Why does Robin have beef with her? Evidently Robin told Derrick on a podcast that Evelyn was the one who orchestrated Robin and Aneesa going into that first jungle but I thought it was Laurel's idea. Aneesa didn't seem to have a problem with Evelyn. V1man: Make sure to tell Evelyn that she has lots of fans who like the way she handles herself on the challenges and in the few interviews she gives. I wish she'd do another blog because those were great and I love hearing what goes on behind the scenes. Tell her we appreciate her taking the time to do this interview with you (and thank you for setting it up).

Firstly, thanks for doing this to both V1man and Evelyn!!! I agree with dagr, I and I'm sure many others would love a blog by Ev. Who did you think would be your rival on this challenge when TJ announced the pairs would be rivals? What did you think when you heard you would be with Paula? Thoughts on her as a competitor? Who are, in your opinion, the top 5 female challengers you have competed against physically? A big thanks again Evelyn, I always root for you to win!!!!

I find Evelyn fascinating as she seems to be on these shows for a completely different reason than most others, with that in mind i have a few questions. How does Evelyn feel about the people who use the show as a platform to showcase their other talents? (Next question is somewhat of a two parter.) If the show wasn't televised and was just a competition which had a cash prize, but with none of the 'glory' of being on national tv, would you still enter? Who in the cast do you think wouldn't enter if that were the case? When watching the show, do you look at it as a reality show, or a 'scripted' tv show with characters played by actors? (I've asked a variation of the last question already on vevmo, and got back an incredible answer from V1man. Though i thought it may be worth asking again to Eveyln.) Thanks for taking the time to consider my questions, to be honest any of the questions posted by people will make for an awesome interview.

Ev, did you ever watch the challenges growing up? If so, as a fan who were your all time favorites that you pulled for, and who were your least favorites that you wanted to see lose? Did your opinions change when you became a cast member? Strategically, what do you consider to be the greatest decisions made by any cast members in challenge history? Physically what do you think are the greatest match ups and defeats of all time? If Fresh Meat were done similarly to Rivals (Girl/Girl teams going head to head, and guy/guy teams going head to head) Which girl do you think you would have wanted as a partner in your original season, and which one do you think you would have been picked by. Also who would you have wanted on Fresh Meat 2, and who do you think you would have gotten since you came in late? If Rivals had been guy/girl teams do you think you would have been paired with Johnny, or another player? Do you think you would have had a good shot at winning? Or could you think of a team that would have a better shot at beating you Rivals wise? If you could create a Duel 3 cast of the best challenge competitors ever and newbies you think could do very well, 12 guys, 12 girls, who would you cast? Who do you feel would make the final 3 in each gender? If there was another Battle of the Seasons who would you want as a partner? What season do you feel has the best winning potential? If there was another Battle of the Sexes format, do you think people would keep you because of your almost perfect challenge performances, or do you think they would eliminate you to make finals with their friends?
