Behind the Screen: The Challenge: Favorite Player

For over two decades, MTV's The Challenge has been the proving ground where reality TV's fiercest competitors come to cement their legacies. What started as a Real World/Road Rules spinoff has evolved into one of the most physically and mentally demanding competition series on television.

The franchise's expansion — with spinoffs in the USA, UK, Argentina, and Australia — speaks to a global appetite for the brand of cutthroat competition and alliance-driven gameplay that Vevmo's community has been tracking since 2007.

Melissa did consistently well. Emily, while voting off threats, voted mainly for whom she disliked. If Emily wasn't in the Inner Circle often, she would have been sent home. Melissa won the first mission for the girls.

As long as it didnt involve heights. And if the girls voted like the boys then she would've been voted off earlier. At least two rounds before than the final elimination.

the girls do play a more emotional game. i think it's their downfall. Melissa New Orleans? I don't can't remember what all the numbers are. Melissa New Orleans does real TV work. I've seen her act and host. Anyone know how she's doing?
BlackChild#66
I think Melissa hosts a show in the Oxygen network.

Melissa. I've been reading since she started. Doin' her thing.

I talked to Danny from New Orleans a few years ago. I had just happened to see one of his episodes earlier that day and I told him. He said, 'oh, you watch that garbage?' I think he's now a motivational speaker for gay rights. Sometimes they check back in with people who are having real careers (someone is a doctor in NYC, maybe from the Boston season? I didn't see that one.) And Judd + wife from SF. Rachel from SF is making lots of babies. I like hearing about the ones who did their season and went to work. Makes them seem more normal, ya know?

I used to read her blogs constantly. They were pretty funny, especially the one concerning the spider bite that Coral had. I really liked her on Battle of the Sexes. As soon as they got there she told off Julie. For me, I always liked Alton too. He was a cool guy and seemed like a nice captain and not a totally evil guy looking out for himself.

I remember that melissa vs. julie war and i didn't really see melissa's point. they al have publicists that book their speaking engagements and julie charged less. wasn't that the argument? it's not that julie called the school on the heels of melissa and said, 'i'll charge you x-amount less than melissa.' i could be wrong but melissa came off as a bit psycho in that sit. i do like melissa, tho. i just wasn't convinced that julie dissed her in any way.

Are you talking about this? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KF-wvYEtH28
good brooklyn#74
right. but i was under the impression that publicists handle their speaking engagements. the school could have said they wanted melissa but only had x-amount of money and the publicist offered julie...a lot of them have the same people. yeah, that scene turned me off.

anyone tired of seeing puck's arragont's ***? i like when the early RW-ers come on to challenges, but you can see that they can't match up to the youngsters.

I like Evelyn, I think she's kick-ass...but I also think I'm pretty much the only one who likes her. Kenny, Abe and Wes are also at the top of my list because they're tough, funny and dead sexy :girl_in_love:

You are not the only one who likes her. Once you get to know her, you find out that she has a great sense of humor that doesn't come out when she is competing for something. She got a really ****** edit during G3, especially for the final mission. She actually had been very supportive of Eric at the beginning of the mission and was supportive far longer than most of the veterans. BMP just used her comments because she is so strongly competitive. She actually was in favor of carrying him to the finish. I'll take a raincheck on Kenny since I have yet to hear any glowing compliments from any women who have spent time alone with him. It appears the buildup may be better than the execution...

just a question: the people who are fans of tonya, beth, adam (jerky one), ct, is it because of the drama they bring to the show or b/c they genuinely like them? I consider these the 'villains' because of the drama and find them appealing to watch. if everyone were nice and likable, the story lines would be boring, right?

I have never read her blog at all but I have enjoyed a certain road rulers blog when she still posted regularly.

This is no shocker. Randy was getting randy with spring break ladies at a rate that would make Wilt Chamberlain blush - and everyone knew about it. I am glad to see word finally reached Kina!

Just chill ;) We're giving GW a little room to crush on Katie Doyle. No harm, no foul.

"Villian females?" That is something I've never heard Beth called.
You've got to be kidding me? Beth is the ULTIMATE villian...remember the whole Robin/Mark thing? She knows how to stir things up, hence the entertainment value. That is why I think a majority of the cast dislike her. Along with Veronica and Coral, she is one of the best at getting inside people's heads. Don't get me wrong, I absolutely adore Beth and think she has a great personality. But yes she is cast as the villian, either by her actions or made to look as such by the cast and/or editors.
