Behind the Screen: The Challenge: Battle of the Seasons - Tis The Season

For over two decades, MTV's The Challenge has been the proving ground where reality TV's fiercest competitors come to cement their legacies. What started as a Real World/Road Rules spinoff has evolved into one of the most physically and mentally demanding competition series on television.

The franchise's expansion — with spinoffs in the USA, UK, Argentina, and Australia — speaks to a global appetite for the brand of cutthroat competition and alliance-driven gameplay that Vevmo's community has been tracking since 2007.

Did anyone else notice CM's name taped on her jersey. What was that about, lol...

Her jersey apparently said Carley for some reason so they taped over it

Something I forgot to say, Wes trying to rope in St. Thomas didn't make him look desprate at all. I mean Frank and Zach made a huge effort to form an alliance pre-show. They practically had NOLA, Cancun and Sydney on their side.

Exactly. Frank and Zach act like Wes was punching babies and eating kittens when they saw the Wes/Trey scene.

Does anyone have any idea how the challenges are gonna work now that there's a 2-person team in the mix? Will they just average times? Will Danny and Melinda have to go twice, or will other teams choose just two competitors to go? I'm curious how all that is gonna work...

Well from the preview it appears that days challenge is that mud wrestling challenge, maybe it'll be like which ever team loses all their players first loses.

Ugg I am so sick of watching Frank get obnoxiously, belligerently drunk.....you would think after embarrassing himself so many times on his original season maybe he'd try to curb the drinking or change his behavior. I think the grossest thing about it is in Frank's mind I actually think he views his behavior as acceptable and that it makes him look like a bad *** or something.......cringe.

I just watched the episode and here are some random notes: Alton is in no way or shape v2.0 if he was he would be the first out of all the competitors to climb the ladder and then wait for his partner. The Zach-Frank "bromance" is way to weird enough with the touching just communicate with words being drunk or not lol As for the male elimination round (Wes vs Eric), there is no way Wes could have won this physical challenge in such a narrow place too. You can't push a man that weighs double your size, and from what I saw Wes is still in shape. You must be the Zach beast type to overpower him, so in my mind Wes got screwed over and I'm sad to see him go but as I said hope Danny pulls an (upset) win later in the season.

One thing I forgot to mention....I really like the house they're in this season. It reminds me of the house they had for The Gauntlet 2.

My favorite part of the episode was after Easy slammed Wes into the bell he just glared at him as he was walking back and they show TJ laughing. Gotta love TJ

Watched this season and wasn't that good. Too many rookies and most of them were ignorant. I know I don't know none of them in real but as in the gameplay wise.

I loved this season, it was a fresh cast with new storylines we hadn't seen before. This was a much needed break from the regulars. My only complaint is that Team Sydney was replaced by Fresh Meat instead of Road Rules.

I hated the cast, not because they were rookies but because of how weak they were. Lacy,Danny, Melinda, big easy, team New Orleans,JD, Devyn, Trashelle, Derek, Jasmine and Sam were all weak and sucked. Easily the weakest cast in a long time IMO.

I agree. But I'd Rather Team Sydney Be replaced with another Real World team or just have 7 Teams if they can't get a replacement team. And while we're at it Get rid of Austin too replace them too.
