Behind the Screen: The Challenge: Battle of the Seasons: Lacey Buehler Int

For over two decades, MTV's The Challenge has been the proving ground where reality TV's fiercest competitors come to cement their legacies. What started as a Real World/Road Rules spinoff has evolved into one of the most physically and mentally demanding competition series on television.

The franchise's expansion — with spinoffs in the USA, UK, Argentina, and Australia — speaks to a global appetite for the brand of cutthroat competition and alliance-driven gameplay that Vevmo's community has been tracking since 2007.

Have you seen recent seasons of The Real World, and if so, what do you make of them? Which is your favorite season of The Real World? Would you partake in a "Reunited: The Real World Austin" season, with all your former roommates?

Funny you asked that because they were about to do that at first before they did the Las Vegs reunited series...or so it seems.

If you could have given Danny and Melinda any advice before you left, what would that have been?

Things were a little different back then. Back then you were allowed to openly split prize money. Contract clauses have gotten a lot stricter since then. We don't want to ask something that may possibly get her in trouble.
I still don't understand why it would get her in trouble. Most of the audiences already know they were there. As for piggy what does prize money have to do with it? Either way though I respect the rules.

It isn't directly related to Piggy. I'm saying that the challenge she supposedly was slated to be on, the Inferno, was aired in the general era of BOTS1 and BOTSexes2 where splitting prize money was allowed, which it is no longer. My point is the contract always changes. If Sydney's fate was open to public discussion, we would have known by now, which we don't. In another interview, Lacey said even she doesn't know why they left so either production purposely withheld the reason or she does know and won't tell why. I'm opting for the former.
