I've been trying to figure out how this is happening. The team with the fastest time through all the checkpoints win I'm assuming. Time in between doesn't matter? But I'm not sure.

I was wondering the same thing. They showed the time after the start of the climb and all of a sudden that went out the window. You'd assume that they are keeping a clock, but who knows.

It was knee high. Painful, probably - but not life threatening or challenging. On the Amazing Race we actually saw them swim underneath ice.
