Behind the Screen: The Buried Life - MTV

For over two decades, MTV's The Challenge has been the proving ground where reality TV's fiercest competitors come to cement their legacies. What started as a Real World/Road Rules spinoff has evolved into one of the most physically and mentally demanding competition series on television.

The franchise's expansion — with spinoffs in the USA, UK, Argentina, and Australia — speaks to a global appetite for the brand of cutthroat competition and alliance-driven gameplay that Vevmo's community has been tracking since 2007.

Yeah I've been seeing many commercials for this show. It looks really interesting...

Everytime I see a commercial for this, a part of me squeals inside. I've never been so excited for anything on MTV since Gauntlet 3...

Wow you guys are really excited about this aren't you? But I admit I am too.

This show looks amazing, a great concept. I'm hoping it is going to live up to what I think the show is going to be like. I wonder if that guy in the commercial really plays ball with Obama like his sign says? If so, holler at that.

MTV is doing an amazing job promoting this, way better than they've promoted the RW and The Challenges. If this doesn't do good, I'll be surprised, there seems to be buzz from other reality stars about this show too.

This is the first show in a LONG time that I've seen promoted on other channels. I saw a preview for it on CBS last week. It's just too bad it premieres on a Friday. I'm just going to have to catch a rerun.

A friday? It premieres Monday, the 18th.

Oh I thought the initial report was that it aired on a Friday which is why people were complaining about the time slot. Either way I'll probably still catch a rerun.
GoldenWarrior#43
Sadly I'll probably be catching a rerun too. But I'm sure there will be plenty of repeats after it premieres. Though I am not gonna let myself to to caught up and have my expectations too high while going in.

I SAW a commercial for this on lifetime and E! this weekend, MTV is going crazy with promotions for this show. You know its good when Snooki is excited about it. They have a sneak peak of episode 1 on MTV.

I am looking forward to this. It has such a touching concept. I loved it when in the trailer, they helped that man find his son. This will be a good one to watch.

Hmmm...I'm debating whether or not to spend the hour on this. It seems so forced and scripted yet they're horrible at acting, worse than the hills crew.

Pretty sure they're not acting, since they've been doing this since 2006, without cameras. Edit: its only a half hour.
Aquatta#52
This show looks lame and staged, I caught a few minutes of it and changed the channel.
Anonymous#53
yeah I thought it was going to be much better!
Anonymous#54
Ya'll are crazy, I love it.
molds13#55
Cristiano Ronaldo is way hotter.
Wilderwolf#56
Definitely not going to bother with this one after tonight. They may have been doing this for years, but now for tv it sure feels forced.
blanky667#57
Epic! Its not everyday that you sneak into the playboy mansion inside a cake...
unamazing#58
He looks very little like Christiano ronaldo. Surprised they got the cake into the party.
Anonymous#59
"You know who signs my check? Hugh Hefner, get off the property." Hilarious.
blanky667#60

I am looking forward to the episode where they they help the man find his son, and the episode where they help the girl find her moms grave.
