The Gauntlet, a week to go... Well, the Gauntlet's coming out next week, I'm not planning on writing a steady stream of blogs for this season, I'll probably just leave my thoughts every few weeks if something strikes a chord with me. This season, please don't ask me about Brooke. That's a hurtful subject and I won't respond to inquiries, so read this and don't bother. Another subject I won't touch is the CT/Diem/Beth affair. I like all three of them and considered them friends on the challenge, so I'm not going to take sides. My relations early on in the challenge will result in some airtime. Please know that I had no ulterior motives in my actions. I don't do appearances of any kind, and have been invited to every challenge since a month after my high school graduation. I simply have no reason to seek attention through some sort of gimmick. I went into this challenge with the same mentality I've had in previous ones. I'm not a particularly entertaining castmember, I don't seek out drama and I'm not great at interviews. I'm on the challenge because I'm a competitor. That is the sole reason why I was put on these things in the first place and that's all I'd like to be recognized for.

While Evelyn isn't the most entertaining as she admits, the girl has definitely earned my respect. And I guess that is a heads up that there will be some serious drama between CT/Diem and Beth.... can't wait for the dramz to unfold! :D Oh, and back to the subject of Brooke/Ev/Jen.... this is like an episode of the L Word!

I agree Katie. Normally when a cast member blogs about something, anything, my first reaction is to laugh and then to immediately begin mocking them. However, you can tell that Evelyn is sincere and she makes a variety of valid points. I give her a thumbs up for her honesty and taking the time to share. I get the impression it is going to be very hard for her to watch this season of the Challenge on television, being how things turned out. That has never happened to me, but I am sure it would be tragic and epically wrong at the same time!

Brooke is eliminated on the 4th Gauntlet. Ev makes it to the end. In the past, challenge spoilers were usually right about the final teams, but always off on the elimination order. I am not going to place that much stock in it.

I dated Evelyn since high school. Way before she way before she was ever on a corny little challenge show..k? And after two years we broke up because we didn't work. One month after we broke up she dated Brooke. I wanted to continue a friendship with Evelyn, but the truth is, she was a shitty friend and very cold. Brooke and I spoke online while they dated and we developed feelings for each other, and realized we were a better match than her and Ev, or me and ev. Now we are together, and I love her very much.

Well, I STILL think it's strange. I mean, who really starts corresponding with your ex's new girlfriend with only pure 'let's be friends' intentions? At the very least I would assume they were just trying to stir shit up.

The Gauntlet III MTV's The Gauntlet premieres this Wednesday, January 23rd. I will be on it. And yes, I am very proud of myself for setting foot on a Challenge! If you watched my season of The Real World, you would know that I am not athletic, not competitive, and not interested in doing anything dare-devil scary. So for me, just forcing myself to go on the Challenge was HUGE. And I am very satisfied with my experience there. During my time on the challenge, I will be representing all the scaredy cats in this world-- all the people who hated P.E. in school--- all of the men and women out there who would much rather just read a book than pummel someone with a stick. I will be representing all the girly girls out there who hate ruining their manicure, and hate even more the hot humid weather that makes it nearly impossible to keep your hair tamed. I will also be representing anyone who has ever questioned their sexuality-- even if not until later on in life. I may have more to say on this subject as the show airs, until then, I'm not going into it much. But just to say: Yes, it happened. No, I don't regret it. And in my opinion, this kind of thing happens more frequently than people think. It's nothing to be ashamed of, it just is what it is. Human nature. And human sexuality is complicated. But I try my very best to deal with the feeling appropriately. Now, in describing my troubles with jealousy on the other side of the equation-- meaning girls who were jealous of me-- I have had a much harder time dealing. I have this issue, this problem, where I just want everyone to be pleasant all the time. I don't know why I do this. It's not fair. I need to learn how to cut people more slack. I mean, no one should be on their best behavior all the time. But when they're not, I become very disappointed. And there are certain things that I have a harder time tolerating than others. One of those is jealousy from other people. And worse, when they won't admit it...I have always been one of those girls/women that has fallen victim to other girls/women being jealous of me. Now let's delve into the even more frustrating issue: jealousy in love relationships. Simply put: it ruins people's relationships. If you don't have maturity or trust in your relationship, you will fall victim to this jealousy disease. Even mature, trusting relationships can waiver from time-to-time. But it's all in how you handle it. I know this much: If you are jealous in a love relationship, the best thing to do is to admit it. Just do it. Say it. "I'm jealous. I'm jealous because..." And you will feel better. Chances are that your partner has been jealous, too, and it will open the lines of communication for you to work your the relationship kinks. Now, I'm not saying that admitting you are jealous is the easiest thing to do. It's not. It sucks. It's a blow to your pride, it shows vulnerability. But it's necessary. If you want a successful relationship. What still boggles my mind, though, is when one person cannot seem to control it. When they have admitted they are jealous, when they have worked on it, and they're still falling for it over and over and over. Why does this happen? Is this person just an "eaten-up with jealousy" type of person who will always be this way? Or is it the other person's fault-- what if they are provoking it? Or is this just a matter of no self-control? Or is the relationship just doomed? I wonder. I would love an answer. Anyone got one? I mean, do I really need to downgrade my provocative myspace page, stop wearing FMPs, and quit being a witty conversationalist? Do I really need to change things about myself--things that I actually really like! --- In order to help that certain someone deal with their jealously issues? My instinctual answer is: HELL NO. brooke is in a relationship with liza rizzo from a shot at love 2. if you look at both lisa and brookes page it kind of tells it own story. also ran into them in nyc doing an appearence together and they were ore then friendly

*sigh* It's antics like this and the response as seen above elicited from these antics that make fellow lesbians, such as myself, shake our heads in disappointment. Mainly for the fact that others take such behavior to be indicative of ALL lesbian relationships. Sort of like taking a dysfunctional "straight" relationship and using that as a basis to say all such relationships are dysfunctional. :(

Well, I can't speak for everyone but I can speak for myself when I say that I don't ever judge any group of people based on one (or any small number for that matter)....because everyone has a different story, and acts differently. I let people's actions towards me speak for them.

It does seem as Brooke is really...unstable...and not very loyal...First Ev, now this...And this is what we hear or see which is like 0.1% And she seems to be the kind of girl that would go nuts if someone would cheat on her (well, she is already crazy)...I remember the way she used to get over the silliest things during her season...It's kind of fun to watch on tv, she gets on people's nerves but it is entertainment. However, I am hoping she truly changes and matures in real life...Otherwise, she may up tragically...We'll see what we see of her in this new challenge, but from what I read and believe from her myspace behavior, she hasn't changed for the better

i think lisa is doing quite well.. saw her last night at club marquee in nyc she had about 8 girls near in vip her but was talking to one girl with black hair- that i thought was brooke!! (but wasnt). She was dancing with that one girl the whole time- they actually left to go talk in the quieter area.. and i think they left early as well.. i sound like a stalker hehe/ i got a pic of them two but dont know how to post it! she said "hey girl" bc i guess she saw me gawking hehe ;) very down to earth fun gal but i think she has moved on very well.. hope brooke is okay though.. probably kicking herself in the *** for this one.. wish well on everyone though! <3 danielle g:girl_dance:

Why? Is Lisa somehow of greater value to the universe than Brooke, Evelyn or Jenn? And why not "another reality girl?" Some who I know are very, very nice people indeed. Please give us the benefit of your insight into relationships and how they apparently can be segregated by some arbitrary division -- like having not been on reality TV. What about the women on the Discovery Channel's reality shows or even PBS?
