I totally agree. I was especially disappointed in the finale, the ****** thing was shocking but other than that nothing surprising, or even exciting, happened. Last season was amazing for me and I really hope next season will be better - I feel jipped!

Last season was a total bust, heck Chloe Sevigny bashed it hard - calling it "awful." The first episode of the final season gives me hope. Just a little hope, but enough to see it through.

I stopped watching a while ago. I just couldn't get behind Bill as the main guy. Even if they are a horrible person I still have to be able to root for them a little bit. If they can do that with Tony Soprano they should be able to do it with Bill.

Ooh keep me filled in B, I don't have HBO anymore and this is still my favorite TV series running.

I definitely will post after each episode and use spoiler tags (for details) being I suspect the few people that come to this thread are probably not watching weekly. I felt the first episode was better than any episode of the last season, and I loved the first few seasons so my hope is that the show will find its former glory and nail it in the end.

The last episode I watched put me to sleep so I'm currently in a pause. Did anyone watch this through to the end? I'd like to know if there is a payoff or something that would make it worth while. Otherwise, I'm going to delete the last 5 episodes off my DVR.

I have to say that Big Love is pretty much my favorite series besides Six Feet Under, Sopranos, True Blood and The Wire. I have to say that I absolutely loved the first and the third season, liked the 2nd, and overall disliked the fourth (although I still found the Alby subplot very well done). I have just finished watching the fifth season and it's easily the best along with the third season. I don't want to spoil anything, but IMO they avoided the main mistakes that made the fourth season so disappointing, and I loved it from the first to the last episode.
