Behind the Screen: Big Brother Open Discussion (Feed Spoilers)

For over two decades, MTV's The Challenge has been the proving ground where reality TV's fiercest competitors come to cement their legacies. What started as a Real World/Road Rules spinoff has evolved into one of the most physically and mentally demanding competition series on television.

The franchise's expansion — with spinoffs in the USA, UK, Argentina, and Australia — speaks to a global appetite for the brand of cutthroat competition and alliance-driven gameplay that Vevmo's community has been tracking since 2007.

Yes, I believe it was because of the writer's strike.

Nothing says "I'm sorry" like naming a celestial object after the girl you cyber-cheated on -- which is why bawl-my-eyes-out Brendon from "Big Brother" just threw down $109 to christen the star, "Rachel Reilly." User image According to the International Star Registry, Brendon got the appropriate paperwork in order this week -- certifying the star's new name -- and even purchased a $70 bracelet with the star's coordinates to sweeten the deal. It's not his first attempt at an apology -- as we previously reported, Brendon posted an "I'm sorry" video online recently ... after his ex-GF and "Big Bro" co-star Rachel allegedly found out he sent pics of his ******* to a girl he met online. No worries though -- if the video didn't cut it, a paper star certificate and bracelet definitely will do the trick. Right?

There is so much more to this story than has been reported, although Vevmo's friend, Andy Denhart, has come close to it at realityblurred.com. Don't ask me for details. I can't share details yet since there is ongoing legal stuff other to suggest that there is potential attempted blackmail, fraud and even perhaps a conspiracy as defined by Federal law.

It's been said a lot that "Molly M Shephard" is an overweight gay man. I heard the (s)he had over 20 different accounts with Jokers. I know James got his lawyers to get his pics taken down

Let's see. I know I'm probably in the minority on these and I'll just do them all again because I'm bored: BB12: Didn't like anyone, especially Rachel. BB11: Didn't care, but Jeff and Jordan I guess. Jeff was just gorgeous. BB10: The more I think about it the casts have been horribly cast for the past few seasons. I would have to pick Dan on this one. BB9: Sharon was the only one I could stand. BB8: **** and Jessica (BOOYAH) BB7: Janelle and Dr. Will BB6: Kaysar and Janelle BB5: Diane and Drew BB4: No one really. BB3: Marcellas BB2: Dr. Will BB1: Eddie

I'm starting to get kinda excited for next season! I'm hoping the casting department steps their game up this season though! Personally, I like the US BB better than UK, but their casts are far superior! US standouts: Will, Janelle, Danielle(3), Jeff, Rachel, ****, Matt, Alison, Britney, Jessie, Michelle(10), James(3&9), Ivette, April(10), Eric, Amy, Marcellas, Howie, George, Libra, Chima UK standouts: Jade, Nikki, Brian, Nasty Nick, Makosi, Nadia, Charlie, Grace, Victor, Pete Burns, Pete Bennet, Michelle, Aislene, Emma, Kinga, Josie, John M., John James, Verne, Chantelle, Lisa, Rex, Jason(5) Personally, I think the UK standout personalities are way more entertaining than the ones from the US. Plus, Davina is certainly a better host.
ILoveRW#168
The UK is just way too much, an hour show everyday plus a half hour show earlier (Little Brother) and then another half hour after the main show (Big Mouth). But I do agree that the personalities are better, Nikki, Brian, Noirin, Charley, Pete Burns, Sree, Science, Craig, Derek and Makosi are probably the best reality stars out there. But then those are weighed out by some of the worst reality tv show contestants ever, and the fact that the public insists on voting out anyone that provided any entertainment was just sickening. The only seasons actually worth watching are, 5, 6 and 10.

I think 7 is a good one too. I think UBB was good, but could've been a lot better with different housemates. Norrin, both Pete's, Emma, and Aisleyne should've been there over Ulrika, John, Preston, and Stephanie. I like the US format a lot better, but they just fail with a majority of their casting choices.
fabulous788#170
I've enjoyed certain UK Big Brother's in the past, like the one with Nikki, but I would argue that Big Brother Australia has been by far my favorite. Big Brother US is way better in the game sense, but the way UK and AUS were formatted was also good. You guys are definitely right though about the casting for the UK version. Hands down way better, just not as cutthroat/competitive as the US.

The US format isn't Big Brother as far as I'm concerned, to me the closest thing the US has to Big Brother UK is The Real World. Season 7 was okay, but it followed season 6 which was impossible to beat. Ive seen basically every reality show in the world and I can honestly say season 5 & 6 are the greatest seasons of any reality show. But overall The Real World is the best TV series.

Aus (on the whole) was boring to me, every year was just a beauty contest. Although I suppose that was better than the UKs nice person contest. Also I thought the UK casting was terrible, yes they found their gems but 90% of all the housemates were just a waste of oxygen and gave absolutely nothing to the show.

BBAU has awesome twists! The one that comes to mind is when the older lady who was kicked out on night 1 picked one guy that had to live outside!! They put on a great show :)

That one wasn't one of my favorites, but it was quite hilarious the way that Nobbi (I think that was his name) acted. Still not as funny as when Bridgette got her clothes taken away on that season, but still great. If someone on the US version had to live outside they would probably request to leave because it would be hard.

I'm not so sure that UK is a who's nicest contest, but more of a who can play to the public more contest. If it was about who's nicest Shell would've won 5. But instead Nadia, the transgender who only wanted to be accepted for who she was, came out on top.

Ahhh I loved that twist with Bridgette! That's probably one of the better seasons I've seen of any BB! One season in Germany lasted for 365 days! The guy who came in second had been in since day 29! How could anyone stay that long?!

Those weren't great because of the twist but more because of the reaction. IMO the best twist was the BBUK5 bedsit, great fun to watch. The BB6 secret missions were also a stroke of genius.

The bedsit was amazing!! It was the cause for the unforgettable Fight Night!

Fight Night was so shocking to the UK, people watching live feed at the time actually phoned the police lol. God knows what would happen if they ever aired The Bad Girls Club in the UK. Its funny because the UK can show nudity and sex on network tv after 9pm at night but as soon as you get anything close to a physical fight viewers send complaints to the government in their thousands.

Oh lord! That season had so many moments that would never be shown in the US, but that one fight made everybody flip out! If they got so upset over Grace throwing water at Susie, imagine how they'd react to **** burning Jen with his cigarette!
