Behind the Screen: Big Brother 10

For over two decades, MTV's The Challenge has been the proving ground where reality TV's fiercest competitors come to cement their legacies. What started as a Real World/Road Rules spinoff has evolved into one of the most physically and mentally demanding competition series on television.

The franchise's expansion — with spinoffs in the USA, UK, Argentina, and Australia — speaks to a global appetite for the brand of cutthroat competition and alliance-driven gameplay that Vevmo's community has been tracking since 2007.

Josh was not even close to a gay Evil ****. At best he was a gayer Howie, with fewer one liners and slightly more engrossing tantrums, lol. Season 8 was addictive as hell on the feeds. I can remember spending hours a day watching, everyday! The scenes between Danielle and **** were especially touching, but there was also crazy strategy going on as some of the biggest twists in BB history went down. You give me BB 8 + BB6 minus Nerd Herd I/Nerd Herd II then toss in a Dr Will for good measure and you have the perfect casting framework! There was nothing or no one redeeming about BB9, so just skip right past it when looking for ideas. :D

And here I thought Howie couldn't get gayer haha He was funny when he flipped out especially when they were pranking him in mirrior and he could be brutal but certainly not a gay ED. BB8 got me obsessed with the feeds, you just couldn't turn away. One of my favorite non-feed moment was Dustin's eviction and his face when it was announced. Priceless. You know while I liked the LNC but when they became the Nerd Herd they were annoying. Still entertaining to see **** vs the "new and improved" version of the LNC. And in season 6 the Nerd Herd was...well......the Nerd Herd but they brought drama and conflict to the show as really no other Big Brother season was a divived as that season was. Still a season with Maggie? Hellz yeah I'd jump at that chance but overall the fight between the "Friendship"(cult name) and the Sov6 was awesome. Lastly it would be nice to through in a player like Will who would probably just walk all over any of the cast regularly but do it with a smile on his face. As long as there is no Sliver Kid....yeah I keep saying that but I figure if I say it enough it'll drive him off. If only I believe.

Going with the supposed 'theme' (not saying it is or isnt true, who knows)... I'd like there to be: A quick tempered, loud, traditionalist guy (ala ED) vs a fiesty feminist (Janie-fierce!) A save-the-animals, vegetarian southern blonde (sweet like Amy) vs. Texas NRA hardcore hunter An older, conservative, Republican vs. Young, gay-and-proud Democrat A tree-hugging, gypsy-esque hippie vs. capitalist business person who is for destroying nature to make a parking lot.... Hmmm... the list can go on and on... Whether it'd actually work in the game or not is another thing...

Those would be some interesting matchups and it would surely bring chaos to the house with all the people jumbled together. Who knows if they'll do that though, it's touchy subjects and who knows what that could bring. The question is who'd get along in that group and how would alliances be made.
Phoenix#36
I can't wait till this season begins! Very interesting by the way Dramaqueen. That would definatly stir up some drama in the house.
Phoenix#37
I just saw on Joker's Updates that Sheila will be doing house calls this season! Is it true? Who knows! But it is interesting to talk about. :) User image
Sheila Kennedy doing housecalls on wed's this year.. and a RealPlayer interview July 2nd!! NT

Also I found this :)
I recieved the call yesterday. I, like the other guy who posted, was in the top 35 and am pretty disappointed. I will say, however, that I can almost guarantee that this year's theme will have something to do with a house divided. They asked me TONS of personal questions about me being Jewish (culture, beliefs, daily practices, etc). It seemed like there was someone in the top 35 who was a hard core Christian, because they pounded me with questions about how I would react to someone with different religious beliefs. Also, I don't think we'll see any pre-existing relatitonships this year. They didn't ask much about my family/ friends... but who knows with BB! Guess I'll just have to try out again next year.

UGH! I am soooo done with Shelia!
Anonymous#40
i think ill try out for this since im a little old for RW but then again someone from Miami season I think Joe wa slike 26 when he got in the house...
GoldenWarrior#41
Of all the choices they had they chose Shelia????? Somehow I question their judgment if that is indeed true....sorry but I'd rather her not be doing house calls. And hey good find Pheonix that seems to support the theme of this year, it definitely will be some drama this year I predict.
Phoenix#42
Just 16 Days!! :D (not counting today) I agree with the Sheila thing.... She is alittle boring if you ask me..... She's just going to be co-host right??? (if this is true)

Hopefully because I wouldn't be able to stand her alone but I have a feeling I might have to endure it. Just house calls anyway so I guess I can live with it since that doesn't effect the feeds or the show. User image I know it keeps getting closer and I'm getting pumped.

Evel **** on BB10, HouseCalls, RealPlayer, ShowTime, Eric & Jessica [via myspace] I heard Eric and Jessica broke up. I don't know anything but that, so don't write me asking..... go write them and ask. And honestly, I don't really give a shit... I just thought it would stir it up letting everyone know that And for what is more relevant to me.... Everyone wants to know what is up for BB10 and if I will be involved in any way. HouseCalls I thought long and hard when the offer to do House Calls was made. I really did. But to me the bottom line was this.... I had a good time doing it and obviously with the amount of people watching on the days I co-hosted the show, you enjoyed it as well. So, I decided to do HouseCalls one day a week, on Thursdays. And yes, I will be talking to the evicted HouseGuests on the show. So, expect the unexpected with Gretchen at the wheel and me with my foot pressing the gas peddle to the floor. RealPlayer Last season was such an overwhelming success with the things I did for Real Player Super Pass, that we have decided to expand my roll with them. So, every Wed. when the feeds normally go down because the live show takes place that day. Yes, the eviction day is Wed. this year. So, when the feeds go down at 3pm on the west coast and 6pm on the east coast... You will be getting programming this season instead of just a screen saver... You are correct! You will get to see a very loosely put together show of sorts that I will be doing live from the Cat Club on Sunset Blvd, here in Hollywood. I will have guests, friends and random people on the show with me talking about the previous week on Big Brother. Talking about everything, nothing will be censored... My guests, well most of them, you will recognize, some you will want to ***k, some you will want to punch. It is not going to be all past houseguests, it will be more people that are just big fans of the show and have some type of celeb status or another. You will have to just check it out. I will let you know what time exactly it will go on Real Player every week, when I figure out what time would be best. But I am thinking 4pm pacific, 7pm eastern. Then the live eviction show comes on at 8pm. THE FIRST TWO SHOWS WILL BE AVAILIBLE TO EVERYONE! You will not have to be signed up for Super Pass for the first two shows of the season. But after that, yep.... you need to be getting the feeds in order to see me do this trainwreck in the making that I am gonna call a show. It should all get rolling about the 16th of July. ShowTime I came very very close to getting my own ShowTime show that would have either preceded or followed BBAD. Didn't happen this season, but a lot of people took notice at how willing ShowTime was to jump into bed with me. But things out of my control made the bottom fall out of the deal... It's too bad, it would have been a blast to do. So, starting next month watch me on Real Player on Wed. tba and House Calls on Thursday at Noon (new time) For everyone writing saying they have tickets to the live eviction shows now that they are having an audience for those. All of you who have been asking if I will be there for those shows.... I was told that there will be no past House Guests in the audience for those shows. They want them to be different than the finale show. Which I totally understand. So, no I will not be at those shows, sorry. Oh, and just so you are jealous.... I will be up at the Playboy Mansion for the 4th of July And did I say that Eric and Jessica broke up?

House Calls [via wikipedia] User image House Calls: The Big Brother Talk Show (also known as House Calls) is a spin-off of the American reality television series Big Brother. The program is a live Internet talk show hosted by Gretchen Massey and focuses on events in the Big Brother house as well as taking phone calls from viewers. The show started in 2004 during Big Brother 5 with Marcellas Reynolds as host/co-host, and became quite popular. House Calls has returned during each season of Big Brother. Format In each show Gretchen and a guest host talk and answer viewer questions about events in the "Big Brother" House. Viewers are also able to send in emails to the show which are read on air and subscribers of the live Internet feed are able to submit questions to be chosen as the "SuperPass Question of the Week" which is discussed by the hosts. After each eviction, the evicted HouseGuest would join the hosts and answer viewer questions. Format Changes During Big Brother: All-Stars the format was changed to include special guest hosts. This was due to former regular host Marcellas Reynolds being a HouseGuest that season. Marcellas didn't return for subsequent seasons citing buget cuts at CBS Interactive. For Big Brother 8 a new feature called "Time Capsule" was introduced. The "Time Capsule" was where the HouseGuests leaves a message for him/herself prior to start of the season. "Time Capsule" was previously used in the Internet talk show Survivor Live. Due to controversial behavior and remarks expressed by certain HouseGuests during Big Brother 8 evicted HouseGuests that were apart of the Big Brother Jury could no longer be interviewed by the press or appear on House Calls and The Early Show while being sequestered. A statement from Big Brother was released and was read by Gretchen on air: "We have made jury members of Big Brother available to the press the past few seasons always with the proviso that their questions not inform the ejected HouseGuest of influences outside his or her personal experience in the House. This season several cast members have made either offensive statements or exhibited controversial behavior, we respect journalist interests and rights to pose questions about these statements but believe at the same time doing so could provide information that influences the final vote and potential outcome of this twelve week competition. For that reason the remaining jurors will not be made available to the media for the duration of the program. They will be made available to the press after the Big Brother finale on September 18th." Guest Hosts Beginning with Big Brother: All-Stars, House Calls has featured guest hosts alongside Gretchen Massey. Guest hosts during Big Brother: All-Stars include: Joe Adalian, TV Editor of Daily Variety; Bunky, a HouseGuest from Big Brother 2; Lisa, Big Brother 3 winner and Jase, a HouseGuest in Big Brother 5 and Big Brother: All-Stars. Marcellas returned as a guest host towards the end of the season. Regular guest hosts during Big Brother 8 include: Kaysar, a HouseGuest in Big Brother 6 and Big Brother: All-Stars; Bunky, a HouseGuest from Big Brother 2; Holly, a HouseGuest from Big Brother 5; Erika, a HouseGuest from Big Brother 4 and Big Brother: All-Stars and Janelle, a HouseGuest from Big Brother 6 and Big Brother: All-Stars. Regular guest hosts during Big Brother 9 include: Kaysar, Bunky, Big Brother 8 winner Evel ****, and Big Brother 8 runner-up Daniele.
