Battle of the Seasons: Austin - Danny, Melinda, Wes, Lacey

Oh I think she is enteraining, but I'm one to like girls that bring a different kind of drama that the likes of Jonna and Jasmine bring. But I disagree that pretty blondes can't be competitive. Tonya, Sarah, Evelyn, Diem and Susie are all good athletes and good competiters. And from the looks of this challenge, Ashley, McKenzie, Marie, and Trishelle seem to be contenders as well.

This was my favorite team since it was one of my favorite seasons. Now that their all gone they’ve lost me as a viewer for the season. In fact I’ve even went on to read the spoilers! I’m BORED! I had higher expectations. I have to admit when I heard that Danny and Melinda would be on, I thought for sure something would happen! Danny and Melinda’s love story was awesome! When they divorced I was heartbroken. And why on earth weren’t Danny on Melinda on Battle of the exes? Dustin and Heather were on and they are still together and Leroy and Naomi?? Really? I would hardly call them exes! We all love to hate Wes, but let’s face it he causes so much drama isn’t that what we love about reality TV? The only positive that came out of Wes leaving on the first episode was that exes Danny and Melinda would have no choice but to work alone! I was really looking forward to watching them interact with each other. Hoping they would even rekindle while in Turkey! How great would that have been? HELLO BMP !!! Everyone loves a great love story! Now instead of Danny and Melinda we’re left with Ryan and Jemmye! (Yawn) I have no interest in them whatsoever! I’m extremely disappointed! BMP needs to get it together for the 2013 challenge. I cannot wait until they start filming! I will be checking this website for news on the next challenge daily! I am also praying that Danny, Melinda and Wes will be on the next challenge and hoping for some sort of drama or hookup! Step it up BMP!

I agree but BMP cannot control who hook up with each other all they can do is cast a bunch of ***** 20-40 year olds who may or may not be single and hope something sparks from it.

I have a very strange feeling...they know exactly what they are doing! All I'm saying is I hope they are cast in the next challenge. I wasn't ready to say goodbye just yet. I wanted a little more!

I'm not telling you that you have to watch this season, but this mentality isn't going to get you far if you wanna see other seasons... This show is on the verge of being cancelled, and if everyone stops watching when 4 out of 32 people get eliminated, we're hopeless. Anyway. I don't think you know what BMP does behind closed doors. I'm sure they know who the public wants; but if someone doesn't want to come, or can't come, BMP can't force them. At the end of the day, they need a show, and even if we don't want to see them, they have to go with their second, third or fourth choices. For Battle of the Exes, I was under the impression that they tried to get Danny and Melinda, but they refused because they knew they were gonna be paired up (I need to verify this). People don't divorce for no reason, they probably had a lot of issues, and it's hard to be around someone who you have so much history with. Also I've never seen a divorced couple hook up with each other after, or rekindle their flame, that's unrealistic... I feel like CT/Diem and Danny/Melinda were all in the same boat: they had their history/story documented on TV, they had issues, but they now each have a new significant other and to think they'll get back together is living in a fairytale. I didn't mean to be harsh, by the way, I just think you are a bit misinformed (not saying that I'm all-knowing either at all).

It's a little unfair to blame BMP for certain people not being on the challenge without all of the info. For all we know, BMP tried very hard to get Danny and Melinda together on Battle of the Exes. Ultimately, if Danny and Melinda say no, they won't be on. It's simple as that. Can't just blame BMP.

I do agree that I wish this team had made it a little farther than just two episodes, but unfortunately, there's nothing we can do about it. :/ All we can do is hope for the best, and maybe we will see them again, I especially hope to see Lacey again, she seems very sweet and she did pretty well in her elimination round.

You are 100% right! Even though I am talking ******, of course I am still going to watch it. I do not want the ratings to drop like you said. I am just venting. When you love a season of the real world you can't wait to see them on challenges! I remember in 2005 when RWA was over waiting patiently to see Danny and Melinda on the next challenge. I am just disappointed they didn't make it a little further. I don't think that Danny and Melinda were asked to do battle of the exes. I could be wrong, but I don't think the cast even knows what exactly the challenge is going to be before they get there. There is an interview with Danny on MTV.com and he says he wasn't told until he got to Turkey that he would be on a team with Melinda. I think it's smart not to tell them before time. It's better that way. I'm not saying that I expected them to get married again, but I was hoping for a little bit of a juicer story line, as I'm sure the rest of all the real world austin fans were. Let's face it it's reality TV. Maybe a fight, a hook up, a love confession-something more than what I saw. Even CT and Diem spoke about their relationship. And as far as divorced couples getting back, it's not unheard of at all. I've come across some strange things in life. When 2 people are meant to be they are meant to be. Take Pink and her husband for example. Even though never divorced, they separated even had other significant others, got back and had a baby. For now I will keep watching and hope that they are on the next challenge. I wish they would do a real world all star fan favorite! That way we can watch them live together for a couple of months and not worry that they will go home. How great would that be? They've never done anything like that before.

If they do their research beforehand, they should have a very good idea. It was clear that it was going to be Battle of the Exes in some form before they left based on the cast. The format is what wasn't clear.

I have a good feeling Danny and Melinda were asked to do Battle of the Exes but both(or one of them) declined. I mean come on they were both ENGAGED and then broke up. They were perfect for that challenge and it wouldn't have made sense for BMP to not even TRY to get them. Plus I think that if they were on Exes. They would've been one of the big storylines of that season(much like CT and Diem were).

You're probably right! They were more than just engaged, they were actually married and got divorced. oh well I'll always love them =( I loved that season. I love Wes too. He's the guy you love to hate!

Actually, Danny and Melinda were asked to be on Exes, they obvioulsy knew the theme and they both accepted the offer to be on the show. However, Melinda said via twitter that she had scheduling conflicts with school and the challenge so she had to drop out. Just like with this show, they both knew that they were both going on the show and they knew that they would be on the same team. I like them both! I would have like to see them for different reasons. I also liked CT and Diem and were happy they were on, and honestly it's practically a game show. A lot of them talk crap like as if they are good and they're not!

I would LOVE to see Wes & Lacey together again on a future season. Their friendship is near-perfect (perfect would be Chet & Ryan).

I'm living in the past again but remember what an amazing shock it was to have Lacey appear on a cast list???? I still hold out false hope for random castings like this.  She didn't go far, I loved her relationship with Wes in the one episode they were on.  She made him seem like a normal person and was poking fun at him.  Def loved this casting surprise.
