Behind the Screen: Back to New York: Nicole Jackson

For over two decades, MTV's The Challenge has been the proving ground where reality TV's fiercest competitors come to cement their legacies. What started as a Real World/Road Rules spinoff has evolved into one of the most physically and mentally demanding competition series on television.

The franchise's expansion — with spinoffs in the USA, UK, Argentina, and Australia — speaks to a global appetite for the brand of cutthroat competition and alliance-driven gameplay that Vevmo's community has been tracking since 2007.

Yes, Nicole is a little basket case :censored2:. I've never watched an episode of B2NY, because I was too young to watch what I wanted to watch back in 01...

Nicole was overly tough IMO as well. But I thought she was interesting...

Back to New York: Nicole Jackson

RWRR Vids at Ning.com has updated their videos, and I was surprised to find an episode of BtNY on there. It's the one where Nicole and Coral (mostly Nicole) start stuff with the guys, and Nicole questions Malik's blackness. Part 1 Part 2 I had completely forgotten about Nicole. When the pre-show for this season aired, I thought I was going to like her. She seemed cool, funny, and I loved her thrift store fashion. But when she got on RW, she was nothing but an angry person with issues. In the episode I linked, she was pretty much telling Malik not to talk to the White roommates about their (i.e., Black) issues. Nicole didn't need to be on RW, she needed therapy. I'm surprised (actually I'm not, I just find it odd) that she disappeared off the face of the planet after her season ended. Maybe she was too embarrassed with how she came off. Coral, who I expected to hate, ended up being pretty cool.

Yes, Nicole is a little basket case :censored2:. I've never watched an episode of B2NY, because I was too young to watch what I wanted to watch back in 01. I've only seen pictures on MTV.com and a video of Coral and Lori singing on Youtube, leading to Coral putting her :censored2: into Nicole's face. Again, I thought Nicole would be cool, but she's a little :censored2:. I'm glad she felt off the face of the earth.

Nicole was overly tough IMO as well. But I thought she was interesting. She seemed to be a good person based on what was said about her in the RW BtNY book. But once someone loses her trust, it seems she is done with them. Coral was similar, but seemed a little more flexible (i.e. her befriending Mike and loosening up a lot near the end of the season). I thought she was way too harsh on Malik, who is such a sweet, lovable guy. I could in a way understand why she wouldn't want Malik to talk to Kevin about their argument - she felt Kevin would not understand it from a black person's viewpoint. But I thought for her to completely freeze Malik out over it for seemingly the rest of the season was too much. He seems like a big teddy bear. Really one of the nicest people ever on The RW. I don't quite understand what race she is other than black. She said her mom is white, but Lori says her mom isn't white. I thought that was quite confusing. I would guess Nicole should know the best what race her mother is, but I thought it was weird that Lori said she's not white. Several years back Mike said on his website that he bumped into Nicole and she was still with Bobby from the show and they were living together (I think he said in Detroit?). And he said she looked good - had lost some weight and toned down the makeup. Some message board people have said she'd be up for a challenge as well, but was never asked. I wonder if she is still with Bobby today? I hope she is happy and well.

However, for Nicole to tell Malik "Don't talk to about "our" issues," but to sit there and complain about Malik to Coral and Rachel (who apparently isn't Black) is hypocritical. Glad to hear she was doing well the last she was seen. I hope she comes back into the open one day, less angry and more happy in life.

I thought she was an interesting cast member, and I liked her from time to time. But she had a lot of issues, that to me, caused a serious personality problem or just anger issue in general. She was very hypocritical, and it wasn't fair at times, although I saw why she would want it to be between her and Malik.

You don't have to censor everything lol. Anyway, I think she is still with Bobby. I dunno for sure. I did a google search and didn't find that much.

I wish Nicole would have gotten the chance to do a challenge.

Nicole was one of my favorites because like Coral she was real and honest.

She was the most sincere of them all. That's why I liked her very much. It is a pity that she is gone. maybe someone know something new about her?

She literally fell off the face of the earth. Anyone have an update on her?

Someone posted a pic within the last couple of years and she looked really good.

Isn't she like a yoga instructor?  She pretty much looks the same. One of my favorite Real Worlders of all time. Interesting to read comments about my faves. Back in the day I never could read I'm what others thought about my faves. Think I prefer it that way since my faves are always the most hated.
