Behind the Screen: The Bachelor Pad

Cast spoilers represent the lifeblood of competitive reality TV fandom. Knowing who's on a season — and more importantly, who was cut — shapes the entire viewing experience for superfans.

Vevmo's spoiler community has built a reputation for accuracy that production companies both fear and respect. The forum's track record speaks for itself.

I attempted to watch this last summer, but it only lasted through that gross pie eating contest in episode 2. I'm quite shocked it got picked up for another season...

I'm very embarrassed to admit I saw her in that show, haha. (It was a slow rainy day and there was a marathon...um, and it was on that channel and I lost the remote - thusly forced to watch. I swear. That's my story.) Anyway, she is the biggest spoiled brat in the history of reality television...

I saw bits and pieces of her on there and thought she was hilarious! I think it's hilarious that she calls herself "Tierica"

I immediately loved Erica after the episode where the girls were forced to work at a shoe warehouse filling orders and moving around the inventory. Erica was promoted to manager and made sure to remind everyone that she was the manager because she went to law school. I think she ended up saying it at least ten times to the same person just to get her going. Erica was definitely the manipulator of the house, and I think she'll do well on Bachelor Pad if she still has the same mindset.

She was cast to play that role for VH1, and was well compensated for it. Dare I say she is much different in person. She's also got much better game with guys than one might expect. On Bachelor Pad, I expect she will be the one producers work with off camera to induce the drama they want.

Please allow me to rephrase... She played the biggest spoiled brat in the history of I've seen recently on "reality" television. ;)

Well as in now she is the only one I am interested in watching. Oh and that crazy girl from Brad's season lol.

Michelle Money -- an actress -- who was "nominated" for The Bachelor by her brother (agent). Michelle says that casting called and cast her the day after she was "nominated, " which means the contact by her brother put her on the top of the stack vs the thousands of other applications they were processing, and they immediately called and cast her. PS -- she was hired to be the "crazy girl." Hell of a performance, too. If a single Vevmo member buys her story, I have some swamp land in Florida I'd like to sell you. It's prime real estate, I promise.

Did anyone else see Monday's season premiere? I have to say, I found it much more entertaining than last season's first episode, and I think casting had a lot to do with it.

What the hell was Jake thinking?! I hope that his decision to not save Gia comes back to bite him in the ***!! I'm rooting for Erica to win because she's so fascinating to me!

I actually supported his decision to give the third rose to Vienna, because I thought she would have appreciated such a nice gesture; but no, she wouldn't have cared if Jake apologized to her with a bouquet of roses and a million dollars. And judging by the looks of the season preview, she does something to seperate she and Kasey. I sincerely hope that she ends up being eliminated. Aside from Jake, other people I like on the show is of course Erica, Gia, Justin (even though he was eliminated), Holly, & Ella. I really haven't gotten a feel for the guys yet because I never keep up with the Bachelorette, but I do know most of the women.

I want Vienna and Kasey gone asap. I just can't deal with Kasey's voice! It drives me insane!! I really think that this season looks like it'll be better than last season. I'm rootin for Erica, Gia, Ella, Michael, and Kirk.

Totally in agreement with you on showing Vienna and Kasey the door. Vienna is the biggest fameho and so fake that she actually made me feel sorry for Jake. Then I remembered he had gone off on Chelsey on DWTS, gave myself a good shake and relalized what fakes they both were. Can't imagine what life was like when they were living together. Ella and Michael seem like normal people so they will probably get no camera time. Only the nut cases get on camera.

I'm just now watching the episode from tonight and Erica hiding behind the chair listening to crazy *** Melissa then crawling off is the highlight of the season for me so far! I love that girl!

Not Nancy Grace. ANYBODY, but her! I can't stand that woman!!
TheSeenScene#48
One thing I don't like about this show is how the first ten minutes is competition, and the last hour and 50 minutes is drama.
saltvinegar#49
Erica Rose is perfect for this type of competition show! Melissa, not so much....

I heard Hope Solo was going to be on there too. EDIT: Never mind. Google is my friend. See the cast here.
David Arquette, Ron Artest, Chaz Bono, Elisabetta Canalis, Kristin Cavallari, Nancy Grace, Rob Kardashian, Carson Kressley, Ricki Lake, J.R. Martinez, Chynna Phillips, Hope Solo

I'm so sad that Erica got sent home! I love her and she made the show for me! The only person left that I care about is Ella. The Holly/Mike thing is gettin old quick, Michelle an Graham are just there, and Casey and Vienna get on my last nerve! :(

Sounds like production is finally going after Reality Steve for all his spoiling Breaking: Bachelor Producers Suing Spoilers Blog Reality Steve - The Bachelor I'm pretty sure that all of the bachelors obvious manufactured drama has done far more damage to the show than his spoilers!
I don't see how he's done anything illegal though....

Really? He bribed contestants with money so that they would give him spoilers. He actively solicited them to breach their contracts. Really doesn't help that he's openly admitted he wants to ruin the show either. I found this article to be more helpful in explaining what the problem is: Bachelor producers sue Reality Steve + reality blurred
His apparent active solicitation and participation in contestants breaching their contracts seems to be the real issue here. Journalists have generally been protected if they receive confidential or illegally obtained material from third parties and publish that (for some background, read this Student Press Law Center brief); actively soliciting it is different. As the paper notes, also at issue here is tortious interference, which is actively encouraging someone to break a contract you know they’ve signed and causing damages to a party to the contract as a result.

Ohhhh now it makes sense! For some reason when I the frst article it didn't click that he was the one paying the contestant. This franchise is gonna kill itself without him anyway...
Dandelion#56
What I don't get is if they don't have proof of any contestant taking his bribe where is the wrong doing? I'm assuming that they didn't take the bribe if they obviously just ran back to production with the email they recieved?

The guy's completely spoiled the two seasons of Bachelor Pad plus the last few seasons of Bachelor/Bachelorette. Someone's definitely taken his bribe. Obviously, whoever he attempted to bribe is a new player in the Bachelor franchise and must be trying to make a good name for his or herself.

Right someone is def taking the bribe... but I would think to make a case you'd have to come up with someone willing to say they did... What do I know though.. LOL Maybe this is just a ploy to get ppl talking before the new season starts next month!

Oh thank goodness. I thought you were posting to tell me this would be back on television again soon...
It will be back. There was another ABC/Mike Fleiss-sponsored "The Bachelor/Bachelorette Reunion" in Las Vegas over the weekend. It is for past cast only and is largely considered to be a trail event for people who want to do Bachelor Pad, i.e., how drunk, outrageous and depraved (think multiple hookups) can you be with other past cast members in order to convince the producers that your will do almost anything to get another bit of that apple of fame.
