Here we go again! Cycle 12 will begin on Feb 25!! (As opposed to March 4-which was the original rumor). The contestants for cycle 12 are as follows: Source:CWTV Allison, 20, New Orleans Aminat, 21, Union, New Jersey Celia, 25, Cynthiana, Kentucky Fo, 19, Albuquerque, New Mexico Isabella, 19, Barboursville, Virginia Jessica, 18, Brandenton, Florida Kortni, 24, Houston London, 18, Arlington, Texas Natalie, 19, Palos Verdes, California Nijah, 18, Rancho Cucamonga, California Sandra, 19, Rockville, Maryland Tahlia, 18, Phoenix Teyona, 20, Woodstown, New Jersey I know we have a couple ANTM threads floating around here, but I'd like to keep this one specific to cycle 12 contestants and episodes. If spoilers are to come our way, I will start a Spoiler Thread at that time. Everyone enjoy and get ready for another season!!

Here are my "early thoughts": -I like Aminat's look. (Kind of reminds me of Tiffany cycle 4). -Fo(Sho'!) and Jessica I think are quite unique-looking. -I think Nija is quite pretty, and reminds me of Dionne from cycle 8. -Sandra looks great too, I hope they don't try to give her long hair. All in all I think this is a really great and unique looking group this cycle.

Last season was the first I actually watched on TV. I didn't hate it! I may stay tuned for this one as well. Is it going to be the same timeslot?

They probably have those on the website too. I just got these ones because they were easier. It's just ONE straight on head shot of each girl....so I'm not making definate judgements yet.

The premier is tonight! And it's two episodes back to back.
CYCLE 12 KICKS OFF IN LAS VEGAS WITH 34 NEW HOPEFULS Thirty-four finalists travel to Caesar's Palace in Las Vegas where they bring their inner-goddess to the surface for their very first photo shoot. Tyra determines the final 13 contestants that will move to a New York City loft and compete for the chance to be America's Next Top Model. The 13 girls move into their New York City loft but quickly realize there are only 12 beds available. The ladies participate in their first fashion show and later head to Central Park for their first photo shoot where they bring well-known childhood games to life. During panel, one girl is sent home.

Yeah I did hear that they want all "shorter" models for Cycle 13. Kind of strange but, it doesn't matter to me as long as they can work it!

It's definitely happening. They had Tyra promos during the commercial break where she was talking about wanting petite girls. There's a casting going on in my neck of the woods this week, I thought about spying but they'd probably try to recruit me (because I am short). Eh. I don't see myself doing reality TV, especially not a show like ANTM. (Besides, I too am too "old" to model---turning 28 this year.) Tonight's episode: There was a semi-finalist from my hometown (Buffalo) and one the finalist who's from where I am now (DC area) but I couldn't root for either. Both were stink, stank, stunk personality-wise. Ugh. Tyra has really lost it with the "Goddess of Fierce" craziness, and I thought the photoshoot was very cheap looking. I hope to see more potential when the competition narrows down.

True that. This may be just me, but i'd almost like to see a photo shoot based around boardgames. Like Clue, Game of Life, etc...

Knowing Tyra, it may happen. I'd really want to see a shoot that gets back to its roots. I'd like to see a product (clothing, jewelry, make-up, etc.), not a silly theme, modeled.

Although I think Sandra was just as bad...if not worse. I was also surprised that they didn't show her telling the Judges about her daughter passing away. BUT then again I think she probably did but they didn't air it so that Tyra didn't look heartless for not picking her after she told them she slept in the bus station for 2 days AND her daughter's story as well, which is sad on the production part.

Did anyone watch last night? Make-overs!! All in all I think the makeovers were great. ESPECIALLY Fo, Allison, Kortni, and Aminat. Fo: Looks soooo cute with the short hair! Reminds me of Melissa when she got her hair cut on RW New Orleans. I just wish she weren't so insecure about it! Allison: Long blond curls look MUCH better with those features and crazy eyes of hers! Kortni: LOVE the color! She looks really good. And seriously, if this girl is plus-sized then I must be obese.... Aminat: One of my early favorites, her pic this week wasn't that great, but I love her look. I'm ok with Jessica going home. She was just so pretty and perfect already that she doesn't need this show at all!! /sarcasm
