Behind the Screen: American Idol 8

For over two decades, MTV's The Challenge has been the proving ground where reality TV's fiercest competitors come to cement their legacies. What started as a Real World/Road Rules spinoff has evolved into one of the most physically and mentally demanding competition series on television.

The franchise's expansion — with spinoffs in the USA, UK, Argentina, and Australia — speaks to a global appetite for the brand of cutthroat competition and alliance-driven gameplay that Vevmo's community has been tracking since 2007.

Paula is done with Idol. With sadness in my heart, I’ve decided not to return to #IDOL...

The show won't be the same without Paula. I hope they don't bring back Kara...

With sadness in my heart, I’ve decided not to return to #IDOL. I’ll miss nurturing all the new talent, but most of all I’ll miss nurturing all the new talent, but most of all being a part of a show that I helped from day1become an international phenomenon. What I want to say most, is how much I appreciate the undying support and enormous love that you have showered upon me It truly has been breathtaking, especially over the past month I do without any doubt have the BEST fans in the entire world and I love you all.

Kara is already confirmed to return.

I like both Paula and Kara. Kara>Paula

Generally speaking I'm not the biggest Paula fan... but I think this was a huge mistake not to bring her back... I mean who else is gonna flirt/fight with simon???
saltvinegar#729
Isn't it obvious? Randy and Simon have sexual chemistry.

Am I the only one that just really doesn't give a rip? I'm pretty much over Idol anyway.

I've been over Idol since they voted Chris Daughtry off. I peaced out a long time ago.

I should have joined you then!! I have watched passively the last few seasons, but I'm ready to just fully avoid it now.

Maybe if they had gotten rid of Randy and Kara instead and replaced Ryan Seacrest with Graham Norton, I would start watching again. I haven't watched since the first season. I was obsessed then, but after that season none of the contestants have really grabbed me anymore. I only tune in now for the crazies during the initial auditions.

So true Dandelion.....out of the 2 female judges, I would have much rather seen Paula return , than Kara!!!! I wonder if they will try to bring in a replacement 4th judge, or if they just stick to the 3 they have?
saltvinegar#736
I think Stevie Nicks should be a judge on Idol!
