According to Reality Fan Forum (the premiere site for TAR spoilers), they have not yet started. However, they started all of their threads for season 19 yesterday, so they will probably be starting very soon.

Looks like it started this weekend, and one well-known pair has already been identified: Survivor's Ethan and Jenna Take on the World in New Amazing Race
That's exciting. I hope they end up doing really well. I mean, it's not like they need the million considering they are both past million dollar winners, but it would still be awesome.

RFF has also identified a couple other teams (photo credits clearly go to RFF). Looks to be a lot of couples: Team 2: Zac Sunderland, the youngest person to sail around the world, is racing with his father Laurence: User image Team 3: Older M/F married couple: User image Team 4: F/F Blonde team: User image Team 5: M/F Young couple: User image Team 6: Younger M/F married couple: User image Team 7: M/F team: User image Team 8: M/M Surfer guys: User image Team 9: F/F team, referred to as "The Hawaiians": User image RFF has counted 10 teams so far with one unaccounted for.

Also: looks like the first stop after a start line in Point Mugu (a few hours north of LA) is Taipei, Taiwan.
molds13#8
via RFF: Looks like stop 2 is Yogyakarta, Indonesia via Jakarta. Teams were spotted at the Gambir train station. Teams are on two separate trains to Yogyakarta (9+ hours from Jakarta). The older couple was overheard talking about a speed bump, so it seems that Taiwan was a NEL and they are possibly the team in last place. An Express Pass was also mentioned, and it is believed that it was won by the white male and Asian female (team 5 in the earlier post). via Wikipedia:
It is renowned as a centre of classical Javanese fine art and culture such as batik, ballet, drama, music, poetry, and puppet shows.
So that should be fun. This is team 10, an African American M/F team: User image And here is team 11, a M/M team (relationship unknown): User image
molds13#9
As for team arrivals in HKC at the pitstop, Martyrs' Shrine: The M/F team with the Asian girl (team 5) were position 1. The M/F team with the blonde girl (team 7) were position 2. The African American M/F team were position 3. Jenna and Ethan (team 1) were position 4. The younger married couple (team 6) were position 5. The M/M surfer team (team 8) and Laurence and Zac (team 2) arrived at the same time in positions 6 and 7. It was a foot race. The M/M team (team 11) arrived in position 8. The Hawaiian F/F team (team 9) were position 9. The blonde F/F team (team 4) were position 10. The older M/F couple (team 3) were position 11. They were apparently really really lost. Also: apparently next leg there is speculation that it will be a double elimination, a first in TAR history. But that has yet to be confirmed.

This just in: User image THE MAILMAN! Karl Malone is racing with his wife of 20 years, miss Idaho 1988 Kay. So they aren't the "younger married couple" I originally said they were :D It appears as though the professional athlete and beauty queen trend continues...

via RFF, as always: Leg 3 appeared to continue in Indonesia and Leg 4 is in [*******, Thailand. So a lot of Asia so far! The Sunderlands, the Malones, the blondes, the African-American (thought to be sibling) team, the younger couple with the Asian girl, and the surfers were all spotted in Indonesia, meaning they survived the double elimination.

Here's to hoping that none of them can speak the native language of any country they travel to. I always hate *cough*Ron/Christina*cough* when they can speak fluent anything harder than Spanish/French...

I hate that too fab. I'm excited by all these spoilers because it means TAR will be back soon(ish)! I'm going to try and be surprised again this season. It was a little more fun not knowing who made it past a certain point.

On another note, teams were thought to have been in Johannesburg, South Africa and were also potentially spotted in Malawi.
molds13#15
Via RFF: One half of the "surfer" team is pro snowboarder and former Olympian Andy Finch. He's married and lives in Lake Tahoe. User image It is also possible that the Karl and Kay Malone team may not actually be Karl and Kay Malone, but they have been unable to figure it out thus far.
molds13#16
RFF has been busy today: They identified the other half of team #8 as 32-year-old Tommy Czeschin. He is also a former Olympian and a recent retiree from the world of snowboarding. User image They also identified team #5 as Cindy Chiang and Ernie Halvorsen from Chicago. They are engaged to be married later this year (Nov 5th). User image And based on Jenna Morasca's Twitter timeline, the race is over. RFF has reported that the finish line was in Atlanta, Georgia on July 10th at the historic Swan House.
molds13#17
via RFF, as usual: Team 10 are siblings Justin and Jennifer Young. Justin is 31 and went to school at Emory University with Survivor Gabon contestant Marcus Lehman. He was also a resident physician. Jennifer is 27. They are from Stone Mountain, GA. One half of team #9 is Lisa Tilley, 31, a cocktail waitress from Las Vegas. Lisa's partner is Kaylani Paliotta, a 33-year-old single mother, also living in Vegas. She is a cocktail waitress and Pilates instructor and is friends with Rachel from Big Brother. And team 11: Ron Zeitz and Bill Smith. They are a couple, with Ron on the right in the earlier picture. He's 44 (or maybe 45 now since he just had a birthday?). Bill is on the left. He's 49. They're from Laguna Niguel, CA. It is believed, but not confirmed, that they work for American Airlines. The team that was thought to be the Malones are apparently not the Malones but Marcus Pollard and his wife Amani. Marcus Pollard has played for 5 NFL teams. The male for team 7 is Jeremy Cline, a realtor from Alamo, CA. His partner is Sandy Draghi, also from CA.
molds13#18
via RFF: Team #4 are twins Marie and Elizabeth Canavan, both 23 originally from Deerfield, IL. They both attended the University of Kentucky, so we know who fab won't be rooting for.

Hmmmm, I guess we'll have to wait and see ;) At least they didn't attend LSU or Alabama...

molds13#21
Team #3 finally identified by RFF! Cathi and Bill Alden, a married couple from Albany Oregon. At 63 and 62, they are the oldest racers this season. But don't rule them out: they're apparently both triathletes.
molds13#22
It pains me to report this: RFF has identified the final three teams as Ernie/Cindy, Amani/Marcus, and Jeremy/Sandy.
molds13#23
Somehow, RFF captured almost all of the final leg on tape. Detour: Flight Safety Road Block #1: Margaret Mitchell House (Ernie does this) Road Block #2: Turner Field (some sort of connect the route thing - Cindy and I think Jeremy do this) Finish Line: Swan House They have them in the following orders: Detour (apparently at this point they were all within 5 minutes of each other): 1. Jeremy/Sandy 2. Amani/Marcus 3. Ernie/Cindy And then a lot of shots of Ernie and Cindy by themselves. They show Cindy standing outside the Margaret Mitchell house by herself with no one else around, as well as her doing the detour by herself. They did not reveal what the finishing order was. Check it out: #TAR 19 FINALE by RFF - YouTube

That really really sucks :( And not even in a decent way. That just sucks that the Snowboarders didn't make the final three if that's indeed true. Ugh.
