Behind the Screen: 83rd Annual Academy Awards

For over two decades, MTV's The Challenge has been the proving ground where reality TV's fiercest competitors come to cement their legacies. What started as a Real World/Road Rules spinoff has evolved into one of the most physically and mentally demanding competition series on television.

The franchise's expansion — with spinoffs in the USA, UK, Argentina, and Australia — speaks to a global appetite for the brand of cutthroat competition and alliance-driven gameplay that Vevmo's community has been tracking since 2007.

At least it's not like any of them were surprising...as far as I'm concerned, the acting nods were in the bag at the Golden Globes. The only one I would have not been surprised about was if they gave Annette Bening the win in the leading actress category. Watching Melissa Leo's face after they announced her name was kind of a joke. It's like she was the only one that didn't think she was going to win. And she was more of a shoe-in than Colin Firth... They got things right with Best Picture.
