Behind the Screen: 81st Annual Academy Awards (Best Picture)

For over two decades, MTV's The Challenge has been the proving ground where reality TV's fiercest competitors come to cement their legacies. What started as a Real World/Road Rules spinoff has evolved into one of the most physically and mentally demanding competition series on television.

The franchise's expansion — with spinoffs in the USA, UK, Argentina, and Australia — speaks to a global appetite for the brand of cutthroat competition and alliance-driven gameplay that Vevmo's community has been tracking since 2007.

Reflecting for a second, maybe the writing is so bad for these types of events the actors want to make it clear it is not their material, lol...

Wow, Jennifer Aniston does NOT look like she wants to be there. Maybe it's because Brad and Angelina got front row seats and she had to stare at them the entire time :)...

He was the worst yet though (although he is a ****** Bond.) He couldn't even read the teleprompter, haha.

He flubbed 3 times and then Sarah saved him and read the nominees even though it was his lines! Wonder where his mind is tonight. Don't get me wrong. I think he is a good actor. Hmm, maybe he lost a contact? ;)

pause...pause...pause...pause... "And the nominees are..." THAT was priceless. Teleprompter reading at its best. I guess doing some of the Bond stunts must leave you with a few less brain cells :)

He did a very nice job. Amanda Seyfried is amazing, as always. And she definitely read it well.

Yes, he looked very, very, very mellow. (...and probably doing jager bombs by now.)

Well, I guess he didn't present anything. Now I'm disappointed.

WRONG. That montage was what, 3 minutes long? He shotgunned at least 2 beers.

Natalie Portman looks gorgeous!

As always. :D ...and she is being a good sport about the sideshow.

She really is very beautiful.
Bacchus#47
Well, as expected this is becoming a Slumdog fest.
molds13#48
Even when she had a shaved head in V for Vendetta, she was still beautiful :) I don't think there's been any surprises yet...anyone else?

I really like the stage this year.
molds13#50
Yeah, it is a very nice stage. Jessica Biel? I wouldn't have picked her out of a group to be on stage.
molds13#51
Top teen stars of 08? Please be Zac Efron and not that girl he associates with.

I honestly don't know what her appeal is. I don't see it.
molds13#53
Yeah, how DID Stepbrothers not get nominated for an Oscar? ;)
molds13#54
This looks like a horrible episode of Deal or No Deal.
Anonymous#55
Beyonce?
molds13#56
One word: YES. Baz is an ****** genius.
molds13#57
I didn't know Alan Arkin won an Oscar for Little Miss Sunshine! LOVE Christopher Walken.

Not to put a damper on it, and congratulations to him, but do you think Heath Ledger would have won if he were still alive?

Granted I haven't seen all the other performances, but I think the only guy who might have taken it would have been Michael Shannon. He was GREAT in Rev Road.

Wow...over 2 billion dollars raised? That's really impressive. I was totally wondering why Eddie Murphy was presenting the award until I remembered the Nutty Professor stuff. And he looks REALLY good for being almost 83.
